Gomorra sweeps European Film Awards

Italian mob movie Gomorra swept the European Film Awards today, with a total of 5 wins in most of the top categories.¬† Kristin Scott Thomas won Best Actress for I’ve Loved You So Long. Gomorra is building the kind of international momentum the can lead to mulitple-nomination spillover in categories other than Best Foreign Language Film — like The Diving Bell and the Butterfly last year, and Pan’s Labyrinth in 2006.
