This is one tiny slice of awards season I rather like, this after ten wasted years on the sit. When the NYFCC announce their winners they do so in mostly real time. I do recall someone once on Indiewire getting their news before the website updated, but mostly we all just watch the site. Perhaps we really need to get lives, eh? Anyway, their website is all set up and ready for action.
Time for a quick round of our seasonal game. Up to three guesses and they have to be bizarre. I still don’t know how Damien Bona got Wall-E for Best Picture for LAFCA right because that was a No Guts, No Glory for all time. Mine would be that The Dark Knight wins Best Picture and Director but I already have that as my official prediction. And now it doesn’t seem so outlandish anymore. Still–

Best Director: Courtney Hunt
Best Actor: Benicio Del Toro for Che
