Congratulations to Tom Hardy and the writers of In the Loop! Though I still think that Peter Capaldi should’ve been nominated for Best Supporting Actor.

Hey Sasha/Ryan. Adam Shankman has some pretty interesting tweets today letting us know what is on his mind right now in terms of producing the big show. Check it out.

    Yay In the Loop!!!!

Thanks Matteo – I guess I’ll have to stalk poor Adam Shankman. Is it wrong of me to be more interested in his thoughts on So You Think You Can Dance?

Didn’t know MOON qualified as a British movie.

Hardy was awesome in BRONSON. When I see yet another award for Clooney in UP IN THE AIR (for example from Washington DC critics) I am always ashamed for critics who don’t reward actor who really deserves their award (Hardy it is).

I agree. Bronson is a flawed film, no question, but Hardy’s performance is astonishing. Best of I’ve seen this year.

Someone, blame those critics who didn’t bother to fully see all, or at least try, to see all movies out there.

That seems to be the yearly problem with those supposed Oscar voters. You guys and girls get such a cool responsibility, and you all piss it away because you’re too busy?

Seriously no excuse at all. Unless you’re a fireman, then I could let it go.

    Rockwell rocks! says:
    Monday, December 7, 2009 at 3:41pm

Glad to see MOON get some love. Rockwell should be considered for best actor by AMPAS. LET THE RIGHT ONE IN was good, but wasn’t that last year’s pic? Good horror film, but probably shouldn’t be THE “best foreign film.” Strange, but funny. You would have thought that the Brits would give more love to THE HURT LOCKER since the DP, Barry Akroyd is British, and so was a good portion of that international crew.

Hurrah indeed for In the Loop. Easily the best film I’ve seen this year. I have mixed feelings about Bright Star, though. I was expecting a lot more from it. Also, to the commenter called “The RRA is back…” I like where your head’s at; I even quoted you on my blog.

I have heard zero about Fish Tank and Nowhere Boy, but now am looking forward to/hoping for their (eventual) U.S. release.
