LAFCA time table:

2:30pm Best Film, Actress, Actor, Director, Animated Film, Foreign Language Film, New Generation Award.
12:30pm PST to include winners/runners-up for Music, Prod. Design, Cinematography, Script, Doc and Supporting Acting cats.

I’ve asked a few peeps to predict the LA Film Critics, which announce today in the early afternoon.  Please include your own predictions, plus your No Guts, No Glory!  The rules always apply:  up to three and they have to be really unusual choices.  Not something like “Up in the Air” to win Best Picture but rather “Crazy Heart” to win Best Pic.  Anyway, here are the predictions:

I just don’t want Up in the Air to win, or for that matter the pixar movie UP, no ups will be good. Hopefully Inglourious Basterds will finally get some love, LA does love their local boy Tarantino.

I dont think the Hurt Locker will get anything, I might be wrong but I dont think that I am.

I have a strong feeling that Saoirse Ronan is going to be amazing in The Lovely Bones but I just feel that it had lost its awards buzz due to critics not understanding the metanarrative of the movie.
