So, the AMPAS is evolving and they now have a Facebook page where they announce various news. The latest news is this:
BIG NEWS OSCAR FANS! We will be live streaming the Nominees Luncheon on Mon. Feb. 15th and YOU could be a part of it. We‚Äôll be taking questions from our fans to ask some of the nominees in the interview room. Send a reply with @ followed by the name of the nominee and your question. List of attendees to follow in the next post…stay tuned.
And the guests will be:
Nominees Luncheon Interview Room Guests (list subject to change)… Jeff Bridges, George Clooney, Colin Firth, Morgan Freeman, Jeremy Renner, Woody Harrelson, Christoph Waltz, Sandra Bullock, Carey Mulligan, Meryl Streep, Vera Farmiga, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Anna Kendrick, Kathryn Bigelow, James Cameron, Lee Daniels, Jason Reitman and Quentin Tarantino!
You can ask them questions if you want – stalking is probably frowned upon, however. Definitely don’t pitch a screenplay and mind your manners. Otherwise, it’s a bingo. I did see one Meryl Streep fan sneak a “Meryl should win!” Probably going to fall on deaf ears. Remember, this will be Facebook PR person hired by AMPAS to ask the stars questions. Not voting members of the Academy.
