We’re stuck on this one. It seems like it will be Avatar, but it could be The White Ribbon. Might it be Inglourious Basterds? The Hurt Locker feels like a long shot, but many are predicting just that. Avatar is digital and they didn’t go for Benjamin Button last year. On the other hand, it’s Avatar, the most visually stunning film of the year. The White Ribbon might not have been seen in time and besides, it’s black and white. Inglourious Basterds is gorgeous and could win.
