Awards Daily readers cast 12,000 votes on last week’s poll — and some of the titles we included received fewer than 20 votes. The results serve as fast and sloppy way to separate the wheat from chaff. Even though we’re flying blind on 45 unseen movies, perception matters and if the poll measures anything it’s perception. I took the top 25 movies from the “Most Anticipated” poll and added the half-dozen movies that we can’t stop talking about from the first half of 2010. The previous surveys helped establish the top candidates in primary election run-offs. This one should yield a more refined focus.
After the cut please vote for the 10 titles you feel are most likely to become the 10 Best Picture nominees. Let us know in the comments which movies you chose, so you’ll be on the record to claim verified bragging rights in January.
Please choose 10 films.
