Do we care that Lady Gaga popped up on the Croisette to hump her new album? Or rather, I should ask: “Do you care?” Because I know I don’t. For anybody who does, here she is. (oh look, it’s an outfit she’s wearing. A costume borrowed from Madonna’s Take a Bow, 1994).
UPDATE: By popular demand, I’m determined to wring some relevance out of this appearance. Back in March, MTV reported on the mutual admiration between Lady Gaga and Quentin Tarantino. A source close to the director said,
“Quentin is a huge fan of GaGa and loves her whole personality. He has already sounded her out on a couple of projects, one of which would see her playing an assassin,” said a source close to the director.
Today that source (or somebody claiming to be just as close) is still talking.
“It’s no secret Quentin’s been eyeing up Gaga for a role in one of his up-and-coming films,” a source close to Tarantino tells the Daily Mail. “And now they’re both in Cannes, he’s keen to show off his movie star credentials.”
Whether he’s eyeing Gaga for a part in his next feature, the recently announced ‘Django Unchained,’ starring Will Smith, or another of the many projects he has in the works is unknown.
Gaga and Tarantino are said to be old friends. The director got to know the pop star when he lent her the “Pussy Wagon” truck used in his ‘Kill Bill’ films for her ‘Telephone’ video last year.
