Jamie Foxx confirmed for Tarantino’s Django Unchained
We knew the rumors sounded solid, but it’s good to hear from somebody who knows for certain. Jamie Foxx tells CNN he’ll be taking the lead role in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained. Foxx also confirms that Leonardo DiCaprio is cast as the villainous slave owner Calvin Candie, and Samuel L. Jackson as Candie’s overseer and head house-slave Stephen. (via FilmStage) As reported weeks ago, Christoph Waltz will play Dr. King Schultze, the German bounty hunter who becomes Django’s mentor in his pursuit of vengeance.
