But Vitaly is precisely what I don’t appreciate the charactec’s trajectory. He changes his despicable behaviour in a 180º mood, in a too easy manner.

even in Remember the titans he was layered…think about it. He starts out as being opposed to the blacks. But he is one of the first white kids to give in and goof around with them in the locker room…bringing a complete contrast to his character…making him believable

I put a etc . And I agree with you, Goslin is terrific in all these movie (OK, maybe in “Stay”, he deserved not na A+, but a decent B). The only performance by him that I didn’t like is in “Remember the Titans”, because the character is not fully developed and at the time he has not enough experience to make him interesting.

You didn’t mention The Notebook, Murder by Numbers, Stay, and Fracture as further evidence of Ryan Gosling’s infallibility.

Looks really suspenseful in a good way. I like Red Band movies

It does look promising.

IMO what Gosling do, acheives in “Slaughter Rule”, “All Good Things”, “The Believer”, “Blue Valentine”, “Lars and the Real Girl”, “Half Nelson” , “The United States of Leland”, etc, is something that a young Brando did, and few actors are doing, like Sean Penn. He is a young genius of movie acting.
I like some movies of Nicolas Winding Refn (“Bronson” is f… great), others don’t, but there is no doubt he is a talented filmmaker.
If Gosling + Refn + this cool trailer don’t = a great movie, I will probably cry with the disappointment.
