Random comments:
— interesting all the love for Margaret
— no love for Glenn Close in Albert Nobbs
— very little love for Michelle Williams in My Week with Marilyn, which is striking because Williams is a real critics’ darling and has fared very well in this poll over the years (Brokeback, Blue Valentine, Wendy & Lucy).

Like 1995 for me – a great year for film. I could have made 5 separate lists, and none of those lists would have eventuated in what was actually nominated. There’s been a lot of quality to satisfy almost everyone.
This is a good year for the time capsule – see as many as you can.
