- Hobo With a Shotgun — Jason Eisener
- Keyhole — Guy Maddin
- Marécages [Wetlands] — Guy Édoin
- Monsieur Lazhar — Philippe Falardeau
- Starbuck — Ken Scott
- Take This Waltz — Sarah Polley
- Le Vendeur [The Salesman] — Sébastien Pilote

I heard that “Café de Flore” is wonderful. Wish I could see it.
I heard quite the opposite, but yeah… opinions
So good to see ADM celebrated somewhere! They love their David Cronenberg
But the absolute best on that list has to be Monsieur Lazhar. It is a genuine gem, and I am not saying that only because I am from Quebec/Canada. If you want to see children acting as such (not as small adults) and dealing with grave issues, this is the film to see. How the director could pull such performances from its diminutive stars is close to a miracle.
I agree with JCB–it was better than The Class. The kids in the film did a great job. As for Cafe de Flore, I thought it was a great film–very inventive storytelling–but I can understand why some have issues with it, particularly the denouement.
Take this Waltz is best on the list, in my opinion! Can’t believe Hobo with a Shotgun made it, though… oy!
At least someone has had a chance to see Keyhole.
