  28. THE IRON LADY: Lead Actress, Supporting Actor, Original Screenplay Make-up
MY WEEK WITH MARILYN: British Film, Lead Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Costume, Make-up
WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN: British Film, Directing, Lead Actress

Three bad movies elevated by their lead performances (and in Tilda’s case I don’t see nothing more than craft). I hope the Academy nominates the acting and ignores everything else about these movies as it probably will.

    I’d say:

THE IRON LADY – Lead Actress, Make-up (is Broadbent a longshot possibility?, Costumes possible)
MY WEEK WITH MARILYN – Lead Actress, Supporting Actor (Costumes a possibility)
WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN – Lead Actress (nothing else)

    Predictions for BAFTA

    Film – THE ARTIST
    Direction – Hanazavaicious
    Actor – DuJardin
    Actress – Streep
    Supporting Actor – Plummer
    Supporting Actress – Spencer
    Original Screenplay – The Artist
    Adapted Screenplay – The Descendants
    Cinematography – The Artist
    Editing – Drive
    Production Design – Hugo
    Costumes – The Artist

  33. These are so crazy it’s kind of funny. I mean Drive got so many nominations but was snubbed for screenplay and for Brooks (not to mention Gosling). We Need to Talk About Kevin got director, picture and lead actress nominations but no screenplay. Iron Lady got a ridiculous nomination for it’s screenplay but no nomination for best film or best british film. The Help and The Descendants were both snubbed for director. Hugo has 9 nominations, but was snubbed from best pic.

It’s like someone threw the long list in a blender and this is what came out of it. There’s no rhyme or reason to it at all. Lol.

  36. Well, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is going to get some award’s love after all. It was obvious the movie was going to score some BAFTA noms, but 11? Holy shit, that’s some great news. Nice to see Mulligan nominated, too bad she scored for the wrong movie. Also Philip Seymour Hoffman is a very nice surprise.

    Things we learned:
    - Brooks is oficially dead. Congratulations Mr Plummer
    - Oldman might still be in the game for an Oscar nom.
    - Tree of Life – DEAD!!!
    - The Artist is unstopable (12 noms)

IMHO even if Streep scores here and even snatches the SAG, she will probably not win the Oscar. You could see that she actually doesn’t want to win at the Golden Globes. All she has to do is drop some more S-bombs and F-bombs, act weird and praise Viola Davis. She’s doing ok right now, and really curious if it’ll work.

  38. The Good:
    * Drive for Picture and Director
    * War Horse and Tree of Life snubbed, and, at this point, dead
    * The Skin I Live in for Foreign Film

    The Bad:
    * Hugo misses the cut for Picture
    * The Help continues to get nominated for Picture (solid performances, but an overrated movie)
    * Deathly Hallows only picks up technicals (am I the only person who thinks this was the best of the mainstream films that were in the BP conversation?!)

Bafta’s are what they are but at least they have some crossover. Not as important as the Guilds obviously(except the WGA, which can sometimes be important and sometimes not depending on what films they say are not eligable) but moreso than the Globes.

  53. They had to push out HUGO and nominated their own UK Tinker Taylor to show that they have not forgotten about their own “British” films,,lol.
They’ve always wanted it both ways. They want to predict and be part of the influence of the Oscars, and at the same time, they want to recognize their own films. I have always thought BAFTA awards were sort of a pseudo award organization. They see American films as if they are part of UK film industry. They just want to jump on the Hollywood bandwagon and be part of this whole Oscar season.
They nominated Scorsese without nominating it for best picture????
    The Artist for best sound??
Oh well. I would focus on PGA,DGA,WGA. I would forget about the BAFTAS.

  60. @RobertlowercaseA. You should come and work for the British tabloids, you are so good at trying to create a story out of nothing. Bafta does not care about or try to influence the Oscars and The Academy is not influenced by Bafta at all, if you do your homework, you will know that the Oscar nominations deadline for ballots is long before the Bafta nominations are announced and the Oscar ballots are in long before the Bafta awards are announced, so not sure how YOU think Bafta is trying to influence the Oscars. Talk about a non story. But then, you most probably believe that every single one of the 6000 Bafta members voted for every single nomination that was announced this morning.

  61. Robert, I was talking about crossover in members not winners. There are quite a few members of the Academy that vote for the Baftas. Nobody who votes for the Globes is a member.

  62. “Bafta does not care about or try to influence the Oscars and The Academy is not influenced by Bafta at all”
I agree with you about the latter, but it doesn’t matter when the deadline is, they can still vote the American way which they have been doing it for years. BAFTA is an UK organization, they nominate mostly American films, and they have their own “Best British Film” category. The fact that they nominate nearly 100 percent American films means they just try to be part of Hollywood. BAFTA has a history of that,,

  63. Now I’m not saying the Baftas mean much just that the Globes really mean next to nothing. To many Brits the Bafta’s mean more than the Oscars. They are their own thing. They could care less about what affect they have on the Academy really. The only reason they have any meaning is because they have some of the same members.

You really have it out for the BAFTA’s huh? They must have snubbed a movie you like.

They didn’t snub films I wanted to win, I just don’t care much about BAFTA. I think they should nominate their own films from UK instead of trying to be part of Hollywood. If they don’t care about the Oscars, then why do they nominate American films every year as if Hollywood is their film industry.

LMFAO, that’s funny as hell. They should have her announce them with Rooney Mara, who is likely to upset her. Just to see how Glenn keeps her composure.

It’s very, very bizarre that The Descendants was best picture nominated while only receiving best actor and best adapted screenplay nominations… Hugo received a director nomination and dominated the tech rewards and yet no best picture? WEIRD WEIRD WEIRD. Just a weird awards season.

The supporting actor category is a disaster. Seriously, I’m happy Christopher Plummer is going to sweep this year because he easily gives the best performance in that category. I liked Branagh as well but Hill, Hoffman, and Broadbent. Um, no. As fine an actor as Broadbent is, I have no idea what his purpose was in The Iron Lady. And that’s frankly due to the convoluted script. And lucky us, BOTH are nominated! GAG

Speaking of the Iron lady, Marilyn, The Help, The Artist, and Kevin all received a lot of love this morning. It will be interesting to see who takes best actress, but I’m guessing Meryl wins it.

As much love as Tinker Tailor received and even though it’s a British film, I still think The Artist will win picture. Director will be interesting, considering Hugo isn’t nominated for best picture, which may damper Scorsese’s chances.

Best sound does mean sound effects. The Artist is a 99 percent silent film.
Best sound means the sound effects that are used in a scene, including Foley sound effects, dialogue, it is self explanatory. If you don’t know what it means, go on google and find out what it means. The Artist has like 1 minute of sound effects(the dream sequence. We know what the category is about, it is best sound, and The Artist is a silent film. I wish you would do some research before you try to justify how ridiculous the BAFTA sound nod for The Artist.

Here is what I found on Gold Darby/LATimes about the over lapping members of both AMPAS and BAFTA, no one can conclude how many:
First off, what’s the overlap between BAFTA and Oscars voters? “We don’t know, of course. It’s hard to find out,” Parfitt said, but he offered some helpful information. Oscars consultants estimate that there are about 500 Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences members in the U.K. — surely, they’re almost all BAFTA members too. Add to that many of the BAFTA members living in the U.S. “We’ve got 1,200 members between L.A. and New York,” Parfitt says.

    Best Sound means sound mixing.
Here is the definition of best sound mixing from Wikipedia, so the bitching of the BAFTA sound nomination is legit.

“The Academy Award for Sound Mixing is an Academy Award that recognizes the finest or most euphonic sound mixing or recording, and is generally awarded to the production sound mixers and re-recording mixers of the winning film. ”

The Artist is a silent film. Go figure!

I’m starting to think Swinton has the fourth Best Actress spot locked up. Streep/Davis/Williams are all locks, so it’s them, Swinton and anyone’s guess as the fifth nominee. The side menu has Close (her buzz has totally evaporated), Olsen (ditto), Theron (nobody seemed to like the movie very much) and Mara as the other potential candidates, and of those four, Mara seems to have the best chance. Still lots of room for a darkhorse nominee here…Adepero Oduye? Kristen Wiig? Anna Paquin? Vera Farminga? Man, talk about some major No Guts, No Glory picks here.

“Best sound does mean sound effects.” “Best Sound means sound mixing.”

So which one is it? I clearly see that; 1. you don’t know the difference between the two; 2. You have a very primitive view of a movie soudtrack. If it’s a film that is branded silent then no sound awards are applicable. Total bullshit.

The movie has sound effects, the movie has a soundtrack, the movie had a downmix and final mix. I guess you don’t consider music to part of the sound category, but guess what, it is. Composers compose, but sound editors, designers and recording specialists do all the work. Believe me, Ludovic Bource was not responsible for the final sound mix of the movie. The sound artists were.

And please don’t bring me this crap from wikipedia. As far as I know you could have put it there yourself.

Here is a thing from a more reliable source, which is the Rules & Eligibility of the AMPAS. However this point concernes sound editing not sound mixing it still might give you some insight on what these people do.

“Eligibility for this award shall be limited to the Supervising Sound Editor directly involved in and primarily responsible for the planning, creation, direction, and execution of the sound design and editing for each achievement. The Supervising Sound Editor must be the primary creative decision maker and principal interpreter of the director’s vision to the sound editing team. The Supervising Sound Editor must approve the sound effects and their specific placement in the film, coordinate the creation of newly designed sound and Foley effects, and coordinate the editing of dialogue and ADR. The Supervising Sound Editor must oversee the recording of the pre-dubs and be present at the final mix. In the event the above responsibilities are divided, both co-supervisors must adhere to the above criteria.”

Go and read some more on the Rules & Eligibility.

  94. If that is the way you justify its sound mixing nomination, so be it. Your attempt to rationalize is so obvious. Best sound in general refers to sound mixing when it comes to award season. If that was the case, then a lot of documentaries would have been nominated for best sound. I don’t think you know what the differences are. Now, you just quoted something that is entirely different, sound editing. You clearly don’t know the difference.
You are obviously lack of basic common sense and logic, and you dwell too much in defending The Artist. If the Artist was nominated for visual effects, and people bitched about it, you would have probably attack the “whiners” the same way.

“You are obviously lack of basic common sense and logic,”

You are right. A movie that has a final-mix of effects and music should not be even considered in the sound category. The only movies nominated should be the ones with the most explosions and gunshots. That makes sense and is very logical.

“you dwell too much in defending The Artist. If the Artist was nominated for visual effects, and people bitched about it, you would have probably attack the “whiners” the same way.”

That’s a very convenient way of dissing my arguments. Just call me an Artist-lover, why don’t you. Then all of my arguments concerning the general rules about a movie’s soundtrach will be invalid. Way to go, logic and common sense score again.

Two years back people were bitching about “The Hurt Locker” being nominated for Best Visual Effects by the BAFTA. I guess it’s the same primitive notion behind all of this. Visual Effects = CGI. Sound = dialogue, bangs and cracks.

  114. Quick observations

    - The Brits didn’t fall in love with ‘Paris’…maybe Woody should have titled it ‘Midnight in London’.
    - Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy now has a viable shot at surprising at the Oscars in the main categories. Probably not Alfredson, but the picture, actor, script nods could happen.
    - The Help now has a realistic shot at being a major Oscar-player ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ style (no strong bd-contender, but still a potential bp-winner), it will have probably 3 acting nominations, adapted screenplay a few technicals … and with all that love, who knows, maybe it could sneak into bd, too ?
    - Shailene Woodley might be in trouble. No SAG and BAFTA is definitely not a good omen. Descendants probably won’t win bp, either, not if Payne is not seriously considered for bd…and seeing the BAFTA-snub and the lack of prominent wins, it might be the case.
    - The Best Actress race has 4 locks now (Streep-Williams-Davis-Swinton) and it should be emphasized that Glenn Close was ineligible for BAFTA, so she still could be easily the 5th nominee…although the competition is stiff with the likes of Mara, Theron, Dunst, Olsen.
    - Could both British men make the Best Actor top5 ? If Fassbender AND Oldman gets in, DiCaprio is out…I think only one Brit will get in + DiCaprio and of course the 3 locks (Clooney, Dujardin, Pitt).
    - Drive seems to have the British-vote with the bp-bd love but no Brooks OR Gosling ? At least they nominated Mulligan…but even she should have gotten the recognition for her considerably stronger work in ‘Shame’.
    - In the supporting actress race Bejo, Chastain and Spencer all have the quartet (SAG-BAFTA-BFCA-GG), and surprisingly enough McCarthy received a BAFTA-nod, too, so now I think she will get the Oscar-nod, too…if the British weren’t prude enough to snub her, the Academy won’t be, either. Fifth contender ? Probably Woodley, but the SAG-BAFTA snubs hurt her big time. I wouldn’t be surprised if the British-vote secured the 5th slot for Mulligan (for Shame) or Redgrave.
    - The supporting actor race is a mess with only two locks (Plummer, Branagh have the quartet), and surprisingly enough, next in line is Jonah Hill who has BAFTA-SAG-HFPA nods. Strangely enough Brooks didn’t make the BAFTA-cut even though they clearly loved his film. Anyway, I think he will be 4th and the 5th slot will probably go to Nolte, unless J. Edgar (Hammer), Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (Hardy OR Firth OR Cumberbatch), Young Adult (Oswalt), Moneyball (Hoffman) surprise in a few main categories. THEN their supporting men might have enough support from the Academy to sneak in.
    - Kristen Wiig will probably land her first Oscar nomination this year, her screenplay received BAFTA/WGA nominations and her film is considered seriously for a bp-nod.
    - Hugo didn’t get best picture and best adapted screenplay nominations, neither any acting nods…not good, definitely doesn’t look ‘frontrunner-material’ on paper. Before you start, YES, if the film was eligible, BAFTA-nods in main categories ARE important.
    - Clooney might get a nod for adapted screenplay, as well, Ides of March now has BAFTA and Golden Globe script-nominations.
    - The fall of War Horse continues…after failing to land DGA, GG-bd, WGA, GG-script nominations, now it didn’t even get bp from BAFTA, let alone director/screenplay.
    - BAFTA-voters weren’t into Dragon Tattoo (only score and cinematography, not even editing), although they did show some love to the original last year (lead actress, adapted screenplay nominations and won foreign language film)

Gosling WAS Drive how can you leave him out. BAFTA nominated Noomi Rapace last year for Dragoon Tattoo so probably why they didn’t want to repeat with Rooney Mara this year. I guess that means that Rooney Mara will get the Oscar nom that Rapace didn’t get. She just has to knock Glenn Close or Tilda Swinton out for that spot.

    I said

“Now I’m not saying the Baftas mean much just that the Globes really mean next to nothing. To many Brits the Bafta’s mean more than the Oscars. They are their own thing. They could care less about what affect they have on the Academy really. The only reason they have any meaning is because they have some of the same members.”

  155. Does anyone else think that with the directing nomination for Lynne Ramsay, Tilda Swinton suddenly becomes a frontrunner for the BAFTA? I’m not sure the Brits will be keen on awarding a portrayal of their former prime minitser (that most of them still remember very well) done by an american actress, that they not necessarily might consider doing the real iron lady justice. They simply may not rise above their personal experience and not ocus on the quality of the acting itself. Tilda however has very fond memories o the BAFTA that in the end actually won her the Oscar.

No Hugo, Midnight in Paris., War Horse, Dragon Tattoo, no…it is The Help. Oh crap, I hope not. But I still don’t see “The Help” as a potential “Driving Miss Daisy” scenario. DMD won 3 globes (comedy, but still) and most importantly, was a movie that only relied on the juggernaut performances of Jessica Tandy and Morgan Freeman. “The Help” doesn’t have that powerhouse duo factor going for it. Viola Davis IMHO is still suffering from some category confusion and is not entirely lead in my opinion. Also, when “Driving Miss Daisy”, it had no opponents such as “The Artist” that was scoring everything everywhere.

Some bizarre omissions (Redgrave, Coleman) and inclusions (screenplay – Iron Lady) detract a bit from what is usually a pretty solid group. Thrilled for the Drive attention, Fassie and McQueen, and the strong showing by Kevin (Swinton, Ramsey, et al). Plus, I get another chance to root for Incendies (a little patriotism doesn’t hurt).

  194. BAFTA is a tricky beast. On the one hand, sometimes their nominees in a particular category don’t match up that well with Oscar. At other times they match perfectly and give indications of late shift momentum in various races. Javier Bardem’s nomination in best actor first popped up on the BAFTA list before he got his “surprise” Oscar nomination. BAFTA has also signaled to us the appeal of “The Reader,” not to mention the tides building for a Cotillard and a Swinton Oscar win in 2007.

So take these results with a grain of salt, I guess, but anyone who just flippantly discounts BAFTA nominations doesn’t know much about awards season.

The absence of “Hugo” in BP is baffling. The sound nomination for “The Artist” is another indicator of the depth of support for that movie. When a movie gets a nomination in a category no one was anticipating, that often indicates a winner. Remember when “The Hurt Locker” got an Oscar nomination in some category (score?) that nearly drove the “Avatar” supporters over the deep end?

I can’t believe how it has been shut out like this over The Help for pete’s sake. Obviously, they were influenced by the precursors and followed the pack. I am just baffled and disgusted. I think this is the worst lineup out of the precursors. Such bullshit.

  219. “Does this mean Hugo has no chance at winning Best Picture, when was the last time a film won the Oscars for best pic without a best film nod from the BAFTA’s?”

I remember that Million Dollar Baby wasn’t nominated for BAFTAs the year it won at the Oscars, but I think that was because the movie was ineligible that year because it was such a late release. Hope I’m remembering that correctly.

Other than that, I think the answer is no. In recent history, anyway, since BAFTA moved its award show to before the Oscars (2001 they started that, I think), no movie (other than M$B) has won the Oscar BP award that hasn’t at least been nominated for the BAFTA BP award. That doesn’t mean it can’t happen this year. But yeah, this exclusion hurts Hugo’s chances of an Oscar BP win, in my mind. Hugo will still be nominated for BP at the Oscars, of course.

All signs continue to point to The Artist.

Umm…but BAFTA not nominating Hugo for BP IS breaking off from group think, isn’t it, since Hugo has been popping up everywhere else for BP? I’m puzzled by the Hugo omission as well, but it seems odd to accuse BAFTA of group think while also getting mad at it for not nominating the usual suspects such as Hugo. There was clear groupthink here about which movie campaigns played the game the best. Yes, Hugo missed the big nod but overall, examine their choices. The one big contender they did slight didn’t deserve it and you can argue genre bias. Also, Hugo did manage to get Best Director. I am not just talking about Hugo but their choices as a whole. Lose your tunnel vision. I have a right to criticize the BAFTA’s and there is a clear case of groupthink by favoring what the press labeled as frontrunners.

Well, if the brits can “stick to making tea” (to quote a not terribly smart remark by the editor-in-chief), at least they know how to spotlight films like TTSS and Drive, whom I’m sure will be neglected by the Oscars…and naming, Lynne Ramsay for best director!? That would never happen in the land of Oscar!
So even though there are glaring omissions (not least TOL for cinematography) and baffling inclusions (like Iron Lady for screenplay), this is not a lot worse than what we will see on Jan 24th. There will be pros and cons in both instances…and probably in equal measure.

But you can hardly blame BAFTA for that…and I’m sure they will change procedure again next year to avoid a repetition of this scenario.

The sexism claim is ridiculous, alas. Furthermore, if the BAFTA is indeed sexist, why would they nominate Ramsay for director?? So basically: get a grip!

If anything, the BAFTAs are slightly chauvinist when it comes to a preference for homebred material, but the again: tell me one country who does not have a patriotic bent when it comes to this kind of thing…?

  235. Can we have a discussion about what is and isn’t lead and supporting? Because most of the time I agree with the placements but other people seem to be calling “category fraud” a lot this year.

My problem with these BAFTA nominations is that in the WTF moments it’s not even that they supported their own. For example, if you get surprised to see Brooks snubbed you look and see that Jonah Hill is in his place. I think if Brooks had been a replaced by a Brit it would make some kind of sense at least. To me anyway. Same thing with Olivia Colman. Not that she’s been expected to get other nods, but you would have thought they’d have shoehorned her in here. And wouldn’t the HUGO snub have made more sense if Best Film went like this:

    THE ARTIST
    THE DESCENDANTS
HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS, PART 2
    TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY
WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN

As much as you might say HUGO should have gotten in before those films, if it were snubbed for something British I think it’d be more understandable.

  241. I think Jim Broadbent might be entering the picture for an Oscar nomination. I base this on nothing more than a quirk in the Oscars where a surprise winner is often nominated again later (almost as a way of justifying their earlier win).

I noticed this with Marcia Gay Harden for Mystic River, Marisa Tomei (first for In the Bedroom, and again with The Wrestler), Juliette Binoche for Chocolat, and a couple of others I’m forgetting. Not to say that these winners didn’t deserve their subsequent nomination(s), but, in most cases, that nomination came as a bit of a surprise.

This could all be ridiculous, but I wouldn’t be shocked if Broadbent gets nominated this year.

Of course, by my theory, Adrien Brody and Kim Basinger are still in-line to get surprise nominations somewhere down the line :) .

  243. A couple comments regarding some categories:

“Tinker Tailor” for best costumes? A really bad choice here. Costumes were nothing special and added little to the storyline/character development. Lisy Christl deserved a mention for “Anonymous” or Denise Crongenberg for “A Dangerous Method” would have been better choices.

It’s nice to see “HP” getting the technical love it deserves at least. I was hoping it would make the cinematography cut.

I’m very pleased with the nominations for “Drive”, except I would have placed Ryan Gosling in there for Best Actor (instead of Brad Pitt). And I thought Carey Mulligan’s performance in “Drive” was just fine. She deserved her nomination. It’s interesting that they snubbed Brooks for BSA. That can only hurt him come Oscar time. I think Bryan Cranston or Ron Perlman also gave damn good performances in “Drive” too, and have been yet unheralded.

I’m also glad to see the love for “We Need To Talk About Kevin”. I really admire Tilda Swinton’s performance in this movie.

  268. If you were a true fan of harry potter. You’d realize about the mstake they made in the movie. Lack of emotion (big mistake), comedy unnecessary scenes in “a battle”?, total rush to finish the movie, and much more.

You call me pahtetic, and my opinon is invalid? haha you are funny. The one invalid opinion is who defend the movie without take in consideration the main why it is being snnubed.

The only thing that you say: harry potter deserve it because it is the end, and box office… rottem tomatoes… what? they are not good reason.

  269. @Hunter

really? the fact it’s part of a 7 film-franchise is why it’s not getting any recognition.??? nobody believe that.

Harry potter is being sunbbed because it is…bad ending involved in visual effects and nostalgia.. some fans will never accet that their favorite movie is failed.

  270. If you were a true fan of harry potter. You’d realize about the mstake they made in the movie. Lack of emotion (big mistake), comedy unnecessary scenes in “a battle”?, total rush to finish the movie, and much more.

Emotion: That’s objective. Just because you didn’t feel any emotion doesn’t mean every didn’t. You can’t use that as a argument point and call it a mistake. I felt emotion. MANY others did too.

Comedy: There’s what? Less than 1 minute of comedy in the film? Just 1 line said by certain characters? I don’t see how that automatically means the film is a failure.

Rushed? It was perfectly paced. Every scene had an appropriated amount of time. I would even say that there are scenes that are pretty long, like the Prince’s tale. Considering the movie was adapted from the last 250 pages of the book, and it was 2 hours, is great.

Now, come up with better ‘mistakes’ or just don’t talk shit. You clearly don’t know what you are talking about.

  271. henry, It deserves it because it’s a brilliantly made film. The perfect end of the series. Just look at the critical reception and audience grade. All raves. Just because you hated it does not mean it’s a failure. Sorry to tell you, but the world’s opinion doesn’t reflect yours.

Why is it not getting recognition? Who knows. Why do you think fans are angry? All of those raves months ago and nothing.

“really? the fact it’s part of a 7 film-franchise is why it’s not getting any recognition.??? nobody believe that.”

They watch the film and have no idea what’s going on since they haven’t seen the other 7 films. How can you say that is not a factor? Stop being so stubborn.

  273. Really I know what I am talking about. I know that saga. So you dont want to face that that move has a lot of mistakes, bad screenplay, terrible directing.A story bad told. You have to watch the movie with a critical sense, not as a fan who love the movies.

The industry ad awards critics are agree with me. So I was right of thinking from a beginning that hp were not going to get any important award.

I am not talking shit, I am sayin the true, very realistic. My opinion is reflejed in what that movie got all this awads season.

  274. henry, no it does not. You aren’t viewing the film critically. You are viewing it with a bad attitude, intending to leave with false, pretentious, negative comments.

Come back here when you actually make any sense.

  275. I don’t like this year’s BAFTA. I know, BAFTAS are usually different from the other awards, but this year’s BAFTA really disappointed me: No THE TREE OF LIFE for Best Cinematography, NO NOMINATION FOR WOODY ALLEN (AS DIRECTOR), OR ALEXANDER PAYNE!! And Lynne Ramsay for Best Director?? The Iron Lady: 4 NODS??? Well, from now on, I will consider BAFTA as an almost irrelevant award. No words. D:

  276. you are wrong hunter. But you wont realize of what I said it is true, because it would hurt you.

I am right, and if you dont face that the final of the saga is a failed movie. Okay. Thanks to awards for not overreating it like the fans did. It is a pitty to think that they formed with a terrible final.
