Great analysis on Chastain’s career. I haven’t warmed up to her yet but her talent is undeniable. She might, just might, be the heir to Meryl’s throne. I have to admit when I watched The Help, I thought she was playing Bryce Howard’s role. It took me a while to realise she was playing Celia. Truly a chameleon indeed.
I finally resigned to watching The Help last night. What a dreadful mess, no real surprise here, but Jessica Chastain was the absolute standout for me. Thanks god she was in the film.

Red Carpet hosts in the UK seem to have actually seen the movies. Weird!

There will not be a live stream of the event. BAFTA does not air live. From recollection the event begins in less than an hour but does not air on the BBC until 9pm – two hours on.
but we’ll look to see if there’s a better insider source when things get going.
Whatever we get from Twitter we’ll be trying update here on the site almost immediately. Unless I choke on something.

OK. I have to say something about Meryl Streep. I think she is the best actress of all time in cinema… but I also think that she is the actress with the worst sense of fashion of all time
You know I checked their stupid website last night to see if they were gonna have a stream and all it said was BB3 at 7:30 British time. I was out at brunch. *steams*

BBC1 on stream2watch.me and on livetvcafe.net also on ilive.to and watchawardshows.com Nothing work for me uptill now. can anyone suggest me better one?
as Glenn UK says, The BBC’s own broadcast is 2 hrs after the actual event.
There could be streams that pop up at that time. Would be surprised if they didn’t. We always keep an eye out and usually get lucky with a tip.

the BAFTAs are not even being broadcast live in the UK. They never are. They take the raw footage and edit it all into a tidy 2-hour package — and then the show is broadcast a couple of hours later.
It is now a little past 7 p.m. in London, and the awards are underway.
But they will not appear on BBC1 until 9 p.m.
So there is absolutely no broadcast signal going out right now.
I’ll take down the embed until we find something later — and for now we’ll try to move the conversation to the “BAFTA (in progress)” post

Ok, even me that I’m not a native english speaker I understand it. The show is not going to be aired live… not even in the BBC (in which is going to be delayed 2 hours). What’s going on inside the BAFTAS can being only known by twitter or other sources. But that’s the strangest thing I have ever heard, then what’s the point to show the ceremony on TV if anyone knows already who were the winners two hours ago??? Like we say here: that’s raro raro raro…

I had that impression — since the broadcast is always tightly edited to fit a 2-hr time-slot, but didn’t want to say for sure.
This stream source we have embedded will have live backstage reactions throughout the show.
