With the apologies to the last minute nature of this but if you’ve a mind, we’ve set up a quickie contest until the BAFTAs announce tomorrow.

Well, I certainly didn’t vote for “The Artist” in the sound category! What a daft nomination – especially given that it’s at the expense of the likes of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”!
Best Pix: The Artist
Best Actor: Jean Dujardin
Best Actress: Meryl Streep
Same as the Oscars!

I know it will never happen, yet tonight I can’t stop thinking how amazingly cool it would be if they gave the Best Director trophy to Lynne Ramsay.
That would be amazing if Ramsay won! I predicted Tilda Swinton, just you know, because a win would underscore the inanity of her Oscar snub.
I would love to see a Streep/Swinton tie, though.

Most exciting thing about this years BAFTAs is the fact that Stephen Fry is presenting again for the first time in a few years. He is without a shadow of a doubt by far the best awards show host I’ve ever seen. Erudite, intelligent, scathing and yet without ever being offensive. Always love the BAFTAS with Fry at the helm.

Actor will be Dujardin or Oldman, however, I wish they’d give AMPAS a big middle finger and award Fassbender. That would be so satisfying.
