The screams you hear in the background from the fans in the audience at the MTV movie awards mean a lot, because we know how hard it is to get those kids excited.

  • Does anyone else hear the horns playing strains reminiscent of the Inception score blended into the background music here? Not my imagination, is it?

Kicks in right after Bane says “Let the games begin.” As the bridges are blowing up, I hear a trace of Zimmer’s ‘Time‘ track in those chords as counterpoint.

Holy Shit, Anne Hathaway. When did you become so awesome?

    This looks really really good.

  • I hear it. 🙂

I want this movie to come out tomorrow. Just so I don’t die before it does. lol Although who says I’ll make it through the night? Hurry up, Batman. I feel crappy and there’s a zombie apocalypse on.

  • That. Looked. Awesomesauce. And. Amazeballs.

BOOM. Nolan just knocked all the naysayers the f**k down. Of course he’s gonna give us another landmark pop entertainment. You can always bank on Chris.

  • Craig Z

I’m sure I’m going to love this movie and love Nolan to death but I just gotta say at this moment I’m just not buying Hathaway’s Catwoman. I’ve been trying so hard to see it but so far I just don’t. Everything else looks great though. I’ll just have to keep telling myself “In Nolan we trust”

  • Craig Z

Actually I think I know what it is that I don’t like about this Catwoman. I don’t find her intimidating at all. I think that Pfifer’s Catwoman was much more intimidating, not because she was physically imposing but because her character was clearly unhinged. Which made her dangerous. I also like what they did in the Batman: Archam video games. Much more intimidating.

  • Jake G!!!

@Craig Z: I disagree with you on Hathaway not being a good Catwoman, she seems realistic and it looks as if she has a split personality, so she might be a little crazy but pretends to be good around batman, just to to get close to him! We havent seen everything about Selina Kyle just yet!

This movie look fucking awesome! I’m so pumped for this!!! Hathaway is going to be Great!

  • Craig Z

Well Jake, I hope you are right but it seems like you are just guessing about all of that. I’m just commenting about what I’ve seen so far and I just see no reason why any characters should be intimidated by her so far. I hope they bring more too her otherwise I might find her fight scenes kind of silly.

  • Tye-Grr

This trailer is great. Hathaway looks really good. I think she’s adapted herself to the material very well from what I’ve seen.

During the actual telecast, Bale, Oldman and Gordon-Levitt showed a montage of the first two Nolan Bat-films, and when it ended, Bale got choked up and fought back tears saying, “That was really great seeing Heath in those clips.” It was a touching and lovely moment that nearly had me crying. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go put on ‘The Dark Knight’ and have myself a cry.

” the video had been removed because of a breach in Terms of Use”

Man, I just wanna watch it – am I in breach? How do I get in compliance??

  • “Man, I just wanna watch it – am I in breach? How do I get in compliance??”

GIve Christian Bale a lollipop. I hear he’s a cherry man.

  • Mattoc

On a more pressing matter, how do I get a cherry lollipop?

    Thx Tero.

    @Craig Z

Want an example of why people should find her intimidating?

In the scene shown in the trailers of her in prison chains and garb walking down the corridor where she does that little spin, she’s actually spinning around another prisoner’s arm who taunted her while she was walking down the corridor. She holds onto their arm, flips herself upside down, wraps her legs around it and snaps the bone in half with her thighs.

Looks pretty awesome. There will probably be about 100 more TV spots leading up to the movie’s release.

  • Alboone

There’s no doubt in my mind after seeing the footage that this will be the EVENT of the year. It’s too big not to miss. It looks and feels larger than life.

  • One thing The Dark Knight Rises has going for it that The Avengers does not. TDKR is populated with Oscar winners and Oscar nominees. That means Academy members already take it more seriously.

  • The Avengers actually has 5 Oscar winners/nominees – Ruffalo, Downey Jr., Jackson, Renner and Paltrow. Not too bad at all.

  • I disagree with you on Hathaway not being a good Catwoman, she seems realistic and it looks as if she has a split personality,

I haven’t seen any split personality in the trailers/tv spots. Maybe they’re not even going that route with her. She actually looks pretty no nonsense. I mean maybe she’s pretending to be on Bats’ side and is really on Bane’s or something. But her characterization from what we’ve seen has been pretty straightforward. Pfeiffer’s Catwoman was clearly a crazy bitch from the beginning.

    oh! doh! very true.
And they do whip up a lot of solid flesh and blood dimensionality out of their wisecracks.

The Avengers actually has 5 Oscar winners/nominees – Ruffalo, Downey Jr., Jackson, Renner and Paltrow. Not too bad at all.

That’s true, but the only one of those that has been a winner is Paltrow and she was little more then a cameo.

On the other hand, with TDKR we have…

    Michael Caine- 2 time winner
    Christian Bale- winner
    Marion Cottilard- winner
    Morgan Freeman- winner
    Liam Neeson- nominee
    Anne Hathaway- nominee
    Gary Oldman- nominee

not to mention I feel at least 2 of those nominees have been deserving of wins (ie Gary Oldman for Dracula) whereas the only one of the Avengers team that I think should have won is Renner for The Hurt Locker.

This flick has me pumped. (I’m sorry. Too far?) Hathaway killed her scenes and Hardy keeps campaigning for the role of my husband.

Above everything, it’s impressive that they have given us so much these past weeks, and I still have no idea what’s happening in this film. My parents and friends have no idea Liam’s in it, or Marion, etc. So for the general populace, their mind will be blown much further.

  • Tye-Grr

“Hardy keeps campaigning for the role of my husband.”

    LMFAO!!! He sure is fine!

  • Chris138

The Dark Knight also got 7 other Oscar nominations (and 1 win) for its technical achievements, so obviously many branches in the Academy like what Nolan’s doing. The two Iron Man movies are the only ones from the Avengers series to get any Oscar attention.

  • Jake G!!!

@Antoinette: Okay split personality was the wrong word, I just mean she’s playing both sides of the field. And in an interview earlier this year Hathaway revealed her favorite scene, and it was when she brings in a man to Bane and says sorry I’m working for him now boys. So who knows.

  • VVS

Well, Catwoman is not supposed to be intimidating to begin with. She;s supposed to be seductive and mischievous, and Hathaway is nailing that.

The point is that she’s a woman, and most men would not buy her as dangerous…that’s what gives her the advantage because she then kicks their ass and they dont even see it coming.

Catwoman was never intimidating in the comics. Or crazy. Nor did she have a split personality. Did Tim Burton rewrite history or something? check the facts

Hardy for Best supporting Actor 2013!!!

  • G

OMG, I watched that trash MTV show last night, just to see this trailer, WOW!

  • Sam

I understand all the talk about Hathaway, completely do. The person that should be talked about the most though is Tom Hardy. He is going to own this movie, he looks just downright badass. I’m not saying he’s going to be better than Ledger was, but I think those two could give us the best villains we’ve seen in a long long time.

    Let the games begin indeed..

  • Jake G!!!

I never said she has a split personality, and plus i said it was the wrong choice of word if you would read my last comment! Dont tell me to check the facts, and dont try and act smarter than us!

And I think Hathaway might steal the show in the movie, but yes Bane does look fucking awesome!

  • Mattoc

    ^ sounds like you need a Snickers…

  • Amy

Only was I like totally love this movie is by not identifying Anne as Catwoman. She’ll just be Woman in Black in my mind. Maybe I’ll really like Woman in Black and the way Anne portrays her, but Chris Nolan did not make Woman in Black Catwoman. She’s supposed to embody sex and power, I’m sorry but I don’t see that with Anne, she’s beautiful in her own way but not a sex bomb. I guess Chris wanted to change or add more to her character, whatever, but her look and presence don’t make me think of an effective Catwoman.
