  • Bryce Forestieri

    No Affleck!! for Pablo Larrain!!

Bigelow, Affleck, Tarantino, Spielberg, Lee. NGNG: Rian Johnson

  • Linc4jess

I don’t think there will be much of a surprise. Affleck, Spielberg, Bigelow, Lee, Russell will probably be chosen. Alt. Hooper, Haneke, Tarantino or Anderson for “The Master” could push Russell or Lee off the list but I wouldn’t bet on it.

  • Zero Dark Thirty and The Master both win big in Vancouver.

  • Lucas Prata

    NGNG – Rian Johnson (Looper)

    Who knows?

My Predix – Affleck, Bigelow, Spielberg, QT, and Russell.

NGNG – Juan Antonio Bayona for The Impossible

  • The Dude

Steven Spielberg, Kathryn Bigelow, Ben Affleck, Ang Lee, Tarantino

    NGNG: Paul Thomas Anderson.

  • d2

    NGNG – Tom Hooper

  • PaulH

NGNG: Christopher Nolan (goddamn you, Ang Lee for potentially taking that spot that belongs to him)

NGNG, part 2: Joss Whedon, The Avengers, who I’ll put his directing against ANYBODY in the field.

  • Lenny

    My official predictions are….

    Ben Affleck = Argo
    Quentin Tarantino = Django Unchained
    Steven Spielberg = Lincoln
David O. Russell = Silver Linings Playbook

  • kasper

    NGNG: Wes Anderson, I guess…

  • Mateus Selle Denardin

    J. A. Boyona – THE IMPOSSIBLE

  • Mattoc

Haneke is not my NGNG, he should get in. And I’ll be Sasha pissed if he doesn’t.
    NGNG for Carax.

  • Zizo Hawa

NGNG: J.A. Bayona – The Impossible

  • Glenn UK

NGNG – Juan Antonio Bayona for The Impossible

Also no noms for Lee and maybe Bigelow

  • NGNG

Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight Rises)

  • Andres

    Peter jackson

  • NGNG – Nolan

    O. Russell

  • Alice

NGNG Nolan TDKR and I see that I’m not the only one wishing for this to happen!

  • Ron

    NGNG: Joss Whedon (The Avengers)

  • Ben

In no particular order (reality TV IDOL/X Factor/The Voice/Talent style) my Predictions for DGA are as followed:

    O. Russell

MY NGNG pick is… shock horror: Tarantino

  • akumax

Prediction: Lee Bigelow Spielberg Affleck and… Hooper

    NGNG: Wes Anderson

  • Someone

Everything is hot and nice but WHEN they are announcing?
My predictions: Russell, Bigelow, Spielberg, Affleck, Tarantino.
    NGNG: NO Affleck

  • Eric P.

    Wes Anderson for “Moonrise Kingdom”

    Kathryn Bigelow “Zero Dark Thirty”
    Ben Affleck “Argo”
    Steven Spielberg “Lincoln”
    Ang Lee “Life of Pi”
David O. Russel “Silver Linings Playbook”

Michael Haneke for “Amour” or Quentin Tarantino for “Django Unchained” could get that last spot. I seriously thing Hooper is out.

  • NGNG – Gonna agree with Sasha. Benh Zeitlin. Imagine!

  • NGNG – Wes Anderson, Moonrise Kingdom

  • Jim

    NGNG – Michael Haneke

By the way, does anyone know at what time they’re annoucing?

  • Zetto M.

Ngng: Christopher Nolan for TDKR!!! (not gonna happen although that’d be sweet)
    Predictions: (terrific year, btw)
    Spielberg (Lincoln)
    Bigelow (ZD30)
    Lee (Life of Pi)
O’Russel (Silver Linings Playbook. Should get it because it had superior direction to his nominated work for The fighter IMO)
    annd Affleck (Argo)
However I wouldn’t be too shocked if Tarantino, P.T.A., or Hooper received deserving recognition. And I wouldn’t mind Zeitlin, Chbosky, or Anderson’s names were announced for their efforts as well. Yayay and hooraay for such a great time ATM 2012! πŸ˜€

  • Jim

The Impossible just got 14 Goya nominations, including Best Actress, Supporting Actor for McGregor and Best Newcomer for Tom Holland.

  • The Colt

    NGNG – Haneke

  • Bryce Forestieri

The Impossible 14 Goya noms, Blancanieves leads with 18

  • Gage Creed

Tarantino and Hooper as “No Guts, No Glory”??

  • Gage Creed

My NGNG will also be Sam Mendes for Skyfall.

  • matt85

Does anybody know in what exact time will they announce it?
    NGNG: PTA, The Master

  • Christophe

The Impossible is a “spanish” production that grossed more than $50mil in Spain alone: #1 movie of the year (2x Twilight), #2 all-time BO behind Avatar.
So that might explain why it’s doing so well at the Goyas.

  • danemychal

    NGNG pick is Robert Zemeckis

  • Jose Ramon

    Kathryn Bigelow β€œZero Dark Thirty”
    Ben Affleck β€œArgo”
    Steven Spielberg β€œLincoln”
    Ang Lee β€œLife of Pi”
David O. Russel β€œSilver Linings Playbook”

No Guts No Glory – Wes Anderson “Moonrise Kingdom”

  • Christina

    Sam Mendes for Skyfall.
Christopher Nolan for The Dark Knight Rises (but I would love if he is nominated)

  • danemychal

PaulH – You can stop hating on Lee. The DGA could have 10 noms and Nolan likely will still not make it. Real awards buzz for TDKR died and died hard a long time ago.

  • Greg Y

    NGNG: Haneke or Anderson

  • Nic V

My picks are Spielberg, Affleck, Bigelow, Lee, and Haneke

    My NGNG Rian Johnson Looper
