if only AMPAS would broaden their view like ICS does… loving the strong non-English films showing up in major categories 🙂

  • Bryce Forestieri

Very good overall…I’d say I’m good with about 90% of their choices.

Except I HATE HATE HATE The Turin Horse, and anything and everything from Tarr.

Love the Cloud Atlas and Cosmopolis love.
And they didn’t care for Life of Pi which is somewhat of a surprise but I don’t care.

  • Yeah where’s Life of Pi?!?

No SLP, no Les Mis, I’m happy. Lots of Holy Motors, Tabu, The Turin Horse, Once Upon a Time in Anatolia, Amour, The Master, Holy Motors, NICOLE KIDMAN! Yummy!

Except I HATE HATE HATE The Turin Horse, and anything and everything from Tarr.

    AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! #obsessed

One of the things that I loved the MOST, is ‘The Turin Horse’ being named… I loved that film, and it’s far better than some of 2012’s AMPAS top 9 for sure.

    “No SLP, no les mis”
And that’s why the ICS deserves huge respect 😀

  • The Dude

As usual, a better list than the Oscars and almost all awards.

But I don’t understand the nom for the Holy Motors ensemble? Who will appear on the list:

    Dennis Lavant
    Edith Scob
    Dennis Lavant
    Dennis Lavant
    Michael Piccoli
    Dennis Lavant
    The Monkey
    The Talking Cars

No Les Mis. Best list I have seen all year.

Cloud Atlas fans have to be happy with this recognition.

Glad Oslo and Anatolia fared well, both are awesome. Haven’t seen most of these yet as they are not available to stream or rent on DVD yet, but I’m excited!
