Movieline posted this just moments ago on Facebook. Sourced as C2E2 Comic-Con clip. Once again we see the singular award category for Visual Effects decidedly lacking in honoring films like this. Already the visual effects category feels too crowded. Here’s to hoping they create a new category to honor these kinds of films which are dominating the box office and the industry yet there is no room in the Oscar race for them.

My favorite thing about this clip is that it shows off all of the colors of the spectrum, not just turquoise and orange.
P.S. RIM!
LOL!
Maybe the fact that it looks like Transformers 4 will help its box office chances. But sci-fi like this tends to need a big-name star at its centre. Even Oblivion looks like it might stop short of $100 million and it has Tom Cruise.
Go big or go extinct! Yeah, bitch!
Nah, I’d rather watch Pan’s Labyrinth again.
Good to see the Japanese starlet Rinko KIKUCHI [nominated for Best Supporting Actress from the beautiful film Babel], as well as Mana-chan (Japanese kid actress), back on a relatively bigger (studios) project. (Actually, for the Japanese kid, I believe this is her first time in a studios movie. She is a BIG name in Japan, an extremely talented kid, too. . . .)
This year’s FX category looks promising.
([Sidenote:] Just saw Oblivion. Great FX, too. And I am happy for Tom Cruise et al for the film reportedly to have opened to a powerful 38M in US alone.)

[OT:] Watching “The Closer” on WB TV (Asia) now, somewhere in […] Asia. Just wikied it, and UFO-Gods forbid!, the series had just come to an end in US.
I love Kyra Sedgwick’s performances despite having experienced but five or six episodes for the time being. Not sure which season I’ve been watching but I saw its spin-off Major Crimes’ Mary McDonnell making appearance in this very episode as well. I’ve never seen Major Crimes, but as far as it goes for McDonnell and Sedgwick in The Closer, it’s the latter’s high time – that much is true.
My point? (If “anyone” happens to read this,) Please bring back Brenda Leigh Johnson, Ms. Sedgwick’s character. I understand that, officially, the talented actress reportedly asked to retire herself. True or not, it would be great if The Closer is back for another season and so on – with Sedgwick as a lead. . . .
(This will prove my theory as to if there exists a Santa Claus at WB TV.) xD
