It looks like The Host (not the Korean masterpiece but the american alien-invasion version) mixed up with The Hunger Games. Count me out, unless raves begin to pour, which I doubt. Judging from the trailer, this is the usual 20-45% fresh RT product and 20-30 on metacritic.
I read the book because I wanted to see what kind of character Kate Winslet plays (a clear indicator of how much time I have on my hands, right?). This trailer shows you almost all of the book. The ending of the book made me so angry; I wonder (if they keep it like in the book) how Sasha will react to it. Woodley’s character basically ignores all the horrible violence around her and just cozies up to the hot guy. It’s infuriating.
Boy that trailer was booring. Everything looks subpar.
The adaptation I’m looking forward is THE MAZE RUNNER
Hey! that’s the Regenstein Library at the University of Chicago! I took lots of naps in the carrels there.
