Sasha Stone has been around the Oscar scene since 1999. Almost everything on this website is her fault.

I have no idea. There’s no really baity role in the mix, except Keaton and Carrell of course. Joaquin Phoenix maybe, Oyelowo most certainly. I still think there’s a place for a late entry like “Crazy Heart” or “Million Dollar Baby” when it comes to the Male Lead this year. I have a hunch that the winner is not on any list yet.
So if not Carell or Keaton for the win, who do you see it going to? Timothy Spall for Mr. Turner? Eddie Redmayne for The Theory of Everything? David Oyelowo for Selma?
Just by seeing how dark it’s going to be, I have serious doubts if Carrell is a contender or just a sho-in for a nod with little chances of winning. Same goes for Keaton by the way. As stellar as these performances may turn out to be, I still think that neither of them will win the Oscar. It’s the likeability factor that’s missing. Sure, you can win without that (Whitaker, Day-Lewis), but it’s not easy. That being said I still hope that Carrell of Keaton will win.
That look on Steve Carell’s face in the last second of the teaser is so damn chilling. Can’t wait for this movie!
Creepy as all hell.
I can’t wait.
Oh man get the popcorn ready for this one!
