“I am very grateful for the recognition of my peers with this morning’s SAG nomination. I loved making JACKIE so much, in large part due to the incredible actors our great director Pablo Larrain assembled. Greta Gerwig, Peter Sarsgaard, Billy Crudup, John Hurt, John Carroll Lynch, Richard Grant, just to name a few, brought such inventiveness and honesty to every moment. Pablo gave us so much freedom and inspiration to play. And that combination allowed us to show Jackie through the many different relationships she had, in many different lights.”- Natalie Portman, JACKIE – Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role in a Motion Picture
“Thank you so much to my fellow actors in the Screen Actors Guild for this incredible recognition. I am so honored to be in category with women whose work I have such deep admiration for. This nomination truly means the world to me. Thank you.” Emma Stone, La La Land – Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role in a Motion Picture

“I woke up this morning really grateful and humbled. That not only do I get to work as an actor but that my fellow SAG-AFTRA actors felt like giving me a hearty pat on the back. It’s an amazing feeling to be welcomed and encouraged by my peers in this way and to be considered in the same company as these other men I am nominated alongside is a dream. I am also extremely grateful to Bill Mechanic, David Permut and to Mel Gibson, an actor/director and an actor’s director in essence, and to the tremendous cast I got to play with. And congratulations to our stunt ensemble! So deserved for their commitment to telling this story of Desmond Doss. I give a deep bow to Desmond – for living such an inspiring life of humility, integrity and love. He was a wounded healer. Someone who risked his life in order to live as his true self and to serve his fellow man. It fills me with joy to see his soul celebrated in this way.” – Andrew Garfield, Hacksaw Ridge Outstanding Performance By An Actor in a Motion Picture
