Not only do I get to go to the Emmys to see all my pals, I’ll do it with Felicity Huffman on my arm. Life is sweet.”

I am so grateful to be a part of the amazing and talented team who create Homeland, it’s a genuine gift to collaborate with them.
Brian Grazer & Ron Howard (Imagine Entertainment) on Genius nomination for Limited Series
“It’s a true honor for Genius to be nominated in such a hotly contested category this year, and we are excited to share this honor with our partners at National Geographic, Fox 21 Studios, Oddlot Entertainment and EUE/Sokolow. Being able to tell the ambitious but intimate human story of Einstein’s scientific brilliance wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing cast, led by Geoffrey Rush and Johnny Flynn, who really brought the man behind the mind to life. Nor could we have done it without a peerless crew who helped propel the series into the realms of excellence. Hopefully the series has entertained and helped inspire a new generation of geniuses!”
Geoffrey Rush on his Genius nomination for Best Lead Actor in a Limited Series
“… the news of this nom at 1:38 a.m. in the Antipodes is wonderful. For me it is not only a celebration of having failed so badly in Physics at High School, but also great for Nat Geo entering a new playing field and bringing Einstein and the crucial value of Scientific questioning into the spotlight. … I am thrilled to be acknowledged alongside such illustrious heroic fellow-nominees….”
Ron Howard (Imagine Entertainment) on receiving directing nomination for Genius
“This was the first time I had ever directed scripted drama for television, so to be nominated in this category is a wonderful surprise. I was really excited going into the project about the possibilities for telling Einstein’s story in a way we’d never seen before, and with the beautiful locations in the Czech Republic, an incredibly talented cast and an agile, tireless crew behind the cameras. I couldn’t have been more pleased with how all the pieces came together on screen. Everyone who contributed to the series should be incredibly proud of how their commitment paid off.”
Ken Biller, showrunner and executive producer of Genius, on receiving nomination for Limited Series
“Working with Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and the incomparable Geoffrey Rush on this amazing project has been the absolute high point of my career. I couldn’t be prouder of the whole cast, crew and creative team.”
– Rod Blackhurst and Brian McGinn, co-directors of Amanda Knox
We couldn’t be happier to be to be recognized by our peers. It’s an honor to be nominated alongside so many other incredible films of the last year. A special thanks to the subjects of our film that were so open and honest with us, as well as our whole filmmaking team and our family at Netflix.”
Elisabeth Moss – The Handmaid’s Tale
Well I’m in a little bit of shock!! 13 nominations is absolutely insane. I woke up to a gif from my publicist Erica of a shirtless Anthony Rizzo from the Cubs and knew it was good news (because a shirtless Rizzo is always good news) but 13 is blowing my mind! I’m so intensely proud of my cast and crew who put their blood, sweat and tears (literally) into this show. This is not a solo sport and each and every one of them is responsible for helping make something we could be proud of. And a special shout out to my executive producing partners, showrunner Bruce Miller and EP Warren Littlefield. Our triangle of collaboration and trust has been a gift to me and I love you both. Nolite te bastardes Carborundorum bitches.
Michael Kelly nominated for OUSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES
“I’m absolutely thrilled to have been nominated for a third time. Five seasons in, I still feel privileged and excited to work with the incredible cast and crew on House of Cards. I’m humbled and honored, and the nominations for Robin, Kevin, and the show make this even more special.”
Alexis Bledel (Nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series, The Handmaid’s Tale):
I’m very grateful to be a part of The Handmaid’s Tale, it’s amazing company of actors and the incredible group of artists who bring this story to life. It has already been a true honor to be entrusted with playing Ofglen; a character and inspiration originated by Margaret Atwood and so beautifully crafted by Bruce Miller. It has been a high point for me creatively to be led by Reed Morano’s skillful and intuitively transportive direction, while acting alongside the utterly brilliant Elisabeth Moss. For Handmaid’s to now receive this much recognition, it’s humbling, yet I’m so proud, and really excited for everyone.
Tim Ives, Director of Photography STRANGER THINGS, Chapter Eight: The Upside Down
Wow, I am completely overwhelmed, thankful and blown away by this Emmy nomination! Stranger Things is truly a labor of love!

“I’m honored to be nominated for the Emmys for my music for The Crown and thrilled for all of my colleagues on the production for the recognition that the show has received. Collaborating with Stephen Daldry and Peter Morgan has been and continues to be a wonderful experience. Composing music for the series is a joy.”
Nora Felder on the occasion of being nominated for Outstanding Music Supervision
Wow!!!! I feel like I just entered a parallel universe! Such fantastic news to be included in this historical Emmy first that acknowledges music supervisors as the music warriors that they are. Stranger Things is a huge phenomenon, and its a honor to be a part of the casting process of one of the shows main characters: The Music!
“Thank you @TheEmmys for the nomination. It is very special to me. And @Stranger_Things with 18 nominations, my pride in the show, unending❤”

Heather Pain on the occasion of being nominated for Outstanding Contemporary Costumes For A Series, Limited Series Or Movie
“Grace and Frankie” is one of those shows you pinch yourself everyday you come to work! Not only is there so much creative talent, everyone is so nice and amazing to work with!!! I’m really excited and honored to be recognized with an Emmy nomination for Assistant Costume Designer.”
– Lena Waithe, Master of None
How all the comments, calls, posts, tweets, messages, texts, DMs, likes and love has made me feel. #ThankYall#IcanFeelYourLove”
Charlie Brooker, Black Mirror
“This surprising news has caused me to experience a momentary absence of despair, during which my mouth smiled, causing me no end of panic because I thought at first my face had broken. Thanks to all our cast and crew, and to Netflix for giving us such a happy home.”
Jeff Beal, House of Cards – Outstanding Music Composition For a Series
“It sounds strange to say, having won an EMMY® Award already for House of Cards, but I am incredibly surprised to be recognized with a nomination for Season 5. It just shows that people are still invested in the Underwoods, and I am genuinely proud to be along for the ride.
For me, season five was about the ascent of Claire Underwood, and Frank’s secret self-immolation. This episode was pivotal for both of these characters. I loved the way Claire becomes a 4th wall breaking character, and Frank seems increasing paranoid. This sense of lying, and breakdown of trust amongst every one in the west wing, which now in today’s climate doesn’t feel so atypical.”
Devorah Herbert on the occasion of being nominated for Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Program (Half-Hour Or Less)
“I am so honored to be nominated and to work each and every day with such an amazing cast – big shout out to Jane and Lily and their well-deserved nominations – everyone on our amazing crew, our directors, Skydance, our tireless showrunner Marta Kaufman and Netflix for bringing Grace & Frankie to the world.”
