The 75th Annual Golden Globes are finally here. Many of you prefer the loser, more unpredictable Globes over the Oscars or the Emmys. And the ceremony itself can be more fun. It has less of the staid pageantry than the bigger shows and four times the booze. Well, in previous days, anyway. Is it me, or do the crazy days of the Golden Globes feel past us? Guess we’ll see what lands tonight.
On the TV front, look for the Golden Globes to embrace The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel as their newest shiny favorite on the comedy side. It’s closest competition is the buzzy SMILF. On the drama side, most are predicting The Handmaid’s Tale to repeat from its recent Emmy win. Assuming that happens, will Elisabeth Moss win for her lead portrayal? Most think she will, but The Crown aired its second season in the midst of the voting window. Can Claire Foy win again?
And what will happen to Twitter if Jessica Biel beats Nicole Kidman in the Limited Series Lead Actress category?
Here are our TV predictions. Check out the full list of winners over at Awards Daily main.
