We’re completing our look at the 2019 Golden Globe TV nominations, which will be announced on Thursday. This week, we close things out with a review of the top Drama contenders. Will the international and hot new drama series Killing Eve steal The Handmaid’s crown? Or will Amazon’s late-year entry in Julia Roberts and Sam Esmail’s Homecoming dominate? And will the HFPA be the first major awards body to embrace FX’s groundbreaking Pose? Plus, is there actually a drama ingenue waiting in the wings this year? Finally, we’ll reveal our collective predictions for the major races. Look for our full predictions on Awards Daily later this week!
But first, a slew of critics groups struck first blood on the 2019 Oscar season. Who did the National Board of Review and the New York Film Critics Circle recognize? What does it mean for the Oscar race? What does it mean for the Fantasy Oscar race between Megan, Joey and Clarence? Find out on this week’s Water Cooler Podcast!
We close our podcast, as always, with the Flash Forward to the media we’re most anticipating in the upcoming week. Plus, Megan reveals her December Our Favorite Movie Volume 6 entry!

Wow, when there’s an outbreak of Good Place support, this page:

Suddenly doesn’t exist. That’s OK. That’s what cut and paste is for!

The Good Place renewed for season 4: https://tvline.com/2018/12/…
“Congratulations to Mike Schur and an exceptional cast and crew, all of whom collaborate to create a thoughtful, mind-bending and hysterical series unlike anything else on television,” NBC co-presidents of scripted programming Tracey Pakosta and Lisa Katz said in a statement. “We can’t wait to see what unexpected stories the new season will bring.”
Now delete THIS page, too, forkers.
What the hell are you talking about? It’s right here: https://www.awardsdaily.com/2018/11/30/2019-comedy-predictions-golden-globes/. It has never, ever moved. You need to curb your rampant paranoia immediately.
When I accessed that link, sir, last night, there was a 404 not found page. It wasn’t listed on the ADTV main page, either. I am not lying or hallucinating here. Why would I write that message if the page was there? IT WAS NOT THERE WHEN I WANTED TO POST ANOTHER MESSAGE. That is the truth, and I’m sticking to it.
There was a mistake on the post and another writer overwrote the published URL. However, the post always remained live. If you had searched for 2019 Golden Globes or selected the pagination link under the last main article, then you would have seen it. Mistakes happen.
I take offense, however, when you automatically assume we deleted the post because there were positive comments about The Good Place. I have never deleted any of your comments, sir, particularly when they continue to disparage other shows. You are and have always been entitled to your opinion and we welcome you on this site. But do not ever accuse me of purposefully deleting any post because of the comments. The only way I would is if the comments were unfair, hurtful or purposefully cruel.
I applaud your love of The Good Place, a show I still to this day have never seen. Honestly, I don’t care enough about it to go to the trouble of doing what you accused me of.
Bring some manners to this game. You are being outplayed.
Paul, the link you show has an entire word left out of the URL.
You copied a dead link. Can’t you see the difference?
All you had to do was simply ask what happened and someone would have helped you find your way back to what you wanted.
But no. Your immediate impulse is to soak your hair in gasoline and light a match.
You first instinct is to accuse ADTV staff of sabatoging their own post just to destroy the only thing you seem to care about.
Now you’re screeching in all caps and calling us kindergarten insults like “forkers”
Try to get a grip.
I want to apologize publicly to those at Awards Daily who I jumped on. I truly am sorry; it’s just that when I saw the 404 where the comedy preview used to be, and has returned, I went cuckoo.
