I think it was neat that Fleabag made it in. I watched it last year after hearing about it on your show. YAY!
Raging genre fraud. Dramas posing as comedies (or dramas with comedic elements like Russian Doll, Barry, Dead to Me). This is how much enmity and blind hate the Emmys have for The Good Place: “Hey, D’Arcy, co-host our nomination announcement, will ya, and then we’ll watch with glee as you ANNOUNCE YOUR OWN SNUB.” Series nomination was a crumb. And as a bonus, TGP ace writer Megan Amram was snubbed in the short form acting category. Maybe you can take that on in a future podcast.
But let’s get a show that averages fewer people watching per episode than live in the city of Akron, Ohio in Comedy, Actor and Actress, on a network nobody’s heard of (PopTV). Levy and O’Hara – career achievement nominations, clearly.
And the only good thing about today is that in 2020 there will be no third season of Fleabag to deal with.
Your comments are comedies posing as drama.
Funny af to watch you shit yourself.
I had blocked homeslice a while ago, but it’s the strongest Lead Actress Comedy nomination list I’ve seen in years, someone is going to miss out.
I love Megan Amram! We did discuss her ridiculous snub last night, but it was either at the tail end of the podcast or off recording. Can’t comment on Fleabag as I haven’t seen it yet.
I’ve heard of Pop Tv, and I am sure many other people have, too. It’s shown Big Brother After Dark for the last few years.
