Toys ‘R’ Movies

marquee2

Noting that we have two movies based on classic toys this summer (Transformers & G.I. Joe), Cinematical finds teasers for a few other upcoming films adapted from the toy store, featured at Atom.com. The marquee above is my idea. You guys have any other suggestions?

LOL. What’s so fun about that is guessing before it tells you who the director is for each film. I correctly guessed Ron Howard. ;)

Oh and I wouldn’t mind watching David Lynch’s “Koosh Ball.”

Hey Ryan, I thought you might want to read this. I don’t cry often, but this did it for me. It’s related to ‘Up’, but it really is a beautiful story on its own.

Hilarious. I loved the Teddy Ruxpin one, would totally fit Wes Anderson. Best part came from the Smurfes though: How long shall we live under the shadow of Gargamel! haha epic

With global warming becoming an omnipresent issue, I think it’s time for captain planet to make a comeback…

Ryan, do you live in Oakland/Bay Area (delighted if you were)? Did you get Grand Lake to do that for you or is that CGI?

    11. Ryan Adams June 25th, 2009 at 2:19 am 11

Wish I lived in the Bay Area, Ligaya, but I don’t and didn’t know the Grand Lake was there until you told us so. Also wish I had the clout to get anybody to anything for me, but nope, I found a nifty website that lets you “create your own marquee” by typing in a couple of lines of text. All I did was adjust the spacing for better legibility and clean up the overlay a bit.
