ScreenDaily reports:
Starring up-and-coming actor Tahar Rahim, the film follows a young man as he is taken under the wing of the Corsican mafia during a prison stint. As he rises through the ranks, it becomes clear he has designs on creating his own network.
Sony Pics Classics is distributing the film in the US. Meanwhile, the best foreign film coverage on the net can be found over at The Film Experience. No one does it like Nat, and I mean no one.

It’s a great choice.
The film is brillant and has received stellar reviews in France. It has also stirred debate about life in prison and how it creates criminals more than it helps people. Anyhow I think the controversy misses the point. The film is not about life in prison. It just takes place in a prison. Then it’s all about story and acting (much like Inglorious basterds, which is not a film about WW2 but happening during WW2, and is all about characters). It’s also a very beautifully crafted film with many formal expirements from diretor Jacques Audiard. It’s great news!
Starring up-and-coming actor Tahar Rahim…
Comment dit-on WOOF en français?
On dit WOOF, tout simplement Ryan.
