This movie is just sex. I can’t wait!
This movie has a winning cast. I’m particularly excited about seeing Marion Cotillard and Nicole Kidman in this.
I meant sexy, although sex is an adequate adjective too I suppose from what we’ve seen so far!
no you’re dead on ….pure sex!
What a cast!!!
CAN’T WAIT!!! Haven’t had this type of excitement for a movie in a LONG time!
What a cast, indeed, but… what the heck is Fergie doing there? She looks like the obvious answer to a “which of these things is not like the others?” game.
If this movie is anything like Chicago, then it should be in the bag. However, if it’s more like Memoirs of a Geisha …
I know it’s easy to say something like ‘I hope it’s more like CHICAGO than MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA’. I get it.
But I’m one of the few who happen to absolutely adore MEMOIRS. Anyone else?
Memoirs of a Geisha’s first half was amazing but then it dragged towards the end. Gong Li should’ve been nominated for Supporting Actress. Also where do we get that Geisha was such an Oscar dud – I mean it DID win 3 Oscars!!!
“Fergie gained weight to play a prostitute” is the quote of the night
I know what you’re saying Alfredo. If we had the 10 Best Pic nominees for 2005’s race, Memoirs of a Geisha would undoubtedly have gotten in (I actually really enjoy the movie, sue me everyone)
I was disappointed with Memoirs of a Geisha. The actors speaking English threw me off, but then I love the book, and usually when that’s the case, the movie always falls short of my expectations. I also am one of the few who did not enjoy Chicago, and this is coming from someone who is a musical fanatic.
I might just like Nine because of Daniel Day Lewis. He can’t make a bad film.
haha, Mary Hart, you devil.
are you implying that without the weight gain Fergie would be too skinny to be a prostitute?
Gong Li was the only thing I liked about Memoirs of a Geisha. Well, her and the costumes. I know films never measure up to books, but it’s one of the most disappointing adaptations I’ve ever seen.
I’m really looking forward to watching Daniel Day-Lewis in this.
I liked Memoirs better than Chicago. Memoirs was a touching film but Chicago was just mildly entertaining.
Penélope looks FIERCE in this preview.
Also, I can’t wait!!!!!!!!!!
And… am I the only one who has the feeling that some costumes and art, set… of “Chicago” are re-used in this? Remember we’re in the CRISIS times…
i think marion not gonna make it for this film
i have a feeling of nicole for supporting actress…
penelope she just won…but maybe she can make it into supporting…
all the ladies they are going to be good, but not oscar nominations, im still dont know whatto expect of daniel day lewis
I kind of think Fergie is actually a pretty inspired choice. She’s sounds great on that track, and to my understanding, thats all she really has to do in the film anyway.
In response to Jorge, what the reviews from the test screenings seem to agree on is that Nicole doesn’t have a big-and-juicy enough part to be considered for Supporting but that the film belongs to Marion and Penelope. Which makes sense – from my POV, as a fan of the stage musical, I know that Luisa (Cotillard) and Carla (Cruz) were always juicier parts than Claudia (Kidman).
in response to justin… the role of cotillard its going to be considered for leading actress, so thats why i think she not gonna make it into the top 5 nominees , bcs there are better performances and strongest roles than her…
cruz could make it into supporting, but she just won this year, i dont see ampas giving her another nomination, but who knows, and about its the role is big enough for supportin.. i can remind u this year, viola davis 12 minutes on screen or something gettin nominated for doubt or tilda swinton winning last year for another 25 minutes or something in michael clayon, or the nomination for rugby dee in a very short role in american gangster
Is it for sure now, that Marion Cotillard is going to be campaigned in lead or is that speculation?
