the up one is beautiful, but im hoping princess and he frog swoops down and owns this category
I forgot how visually stunning some of Ponyo was. That scene where she runs on the water is still one of my favorites of the year.
Now, if they’d only get a FYC ad for “Mary & Max”…
I’ve been considering doing some myself, but I don’t really know how to. *embarassed shrug* Mayhap I’ll find a software online that’ll aid me in my quest.
Smart of Pixar to choose shots from that montage. That sequence was as emotionally powerful as they come. Still rooting for Up, though I’d love to see Mary and Max at least land a nomination.
I really want to see Mary and Max get at least a nod as well, though a win would be absolutely AMAZING. Up was great though.
And I must admit I am PSYCHED that they’re pulling for Ponyo!
haha
Nice ad for Coraline, featuring the “handcrafted” aspect. I so wish it could get in for Art Direction.
I assume there will be separate ads for original score and songs.
Just watched “Up” again tonight. That first segment/love montage is just beautiful. It’s wonderful storytelling, emotionally deep and honest, and visually stunning.
“Up” FTW! All the way to Best Picture, baby! It’s still my favorite movie of the year. And yes, I’ve seen “Precious.”

Nice to see.
Up:
BEST PICTURE
BEST ANIMATED FEATURE
Except for 9, those are all the contenders that really have a chance for a nomination. I guess the others (like monsters vs. aliens, ice age 3) aren’t even going to try…
Love the Up fyc.
