ok, that title won’t fly, but whoa, this freshly fan-made poster for The Dark Knight sequel is a soaring superheroic knockout. So good that early reports thought it might be the real deal, until somebody reported the source, with and without the title: chrisp85, of Sheffield, UK, who modestly characterizes himself as a “Newbie First Class.”
First Class, indeed. From the meticulous recreation of The Gotham Times (click to the larger version and you’ll see Vicki Vale wrote the Harvey Dent article), to the obsessively maniacal cryptogram puzzles reminiscent of Zodiac, this sinister effort is a gloriously grisly beauty. Suitable for framing in a professional Batman triptych, the style and mood beautifully mirror the grim perversity of my second favorite among many terrific TDK posters. (Hard to beat my #1 favorite)
The really extraordinary thing about a gorgeous fan-ufactured production like this is the amount of creative energy expended, and the degree of devoted respect shown to the source material. (Warner Bros, hire this guy!) Christopher Nolan has given us a universe than inspires other artists. To paraphrase As Good As It Gets, Mr. Nolan: You make me a better fan.

I love this poster and wish it would end up being real. Wonder if the creator is not only hoping for the Riddler, but also a return for Two-Face (since he included an article on Dent, and a photo of Aaron Eckhart, no less).
Well Ryan, it IS a great poster, and would make a great selling point, even if this franchise needs nothing further to validate its march toward box-office history. But if I had to create a poster, it would look like THAT!

The Batman
The Caped Crusdader
Guy Pearce for The Riddler!

Vicky Vale always sucked in the comics. Reading back in the goofy-as-fuck Golden Age, she was basically Batman’s Lois Lane clone….so yeah, leave that bitch behind.

I hope WALL-E ends up on the Best Picture Nod. If it doesn’t I will not watch the oscars.
I also like to see the Dark Knight end up on the category, but I’m not giving it too much support because it is the most overrated movie in history. Still, I love that movie.
What is it about animated movies to discriminate? Finding Nemo should have receive a Best Picture nod long ago. It had great storytelling.
WALL-E is waay better than Shrek. It may not be funnier, but Shrek is what it is, a majorily comedy, while WALL-E focused more on a unique storyline. Plus WALL-E costed 180,000,000 to make. So many people worked so hard on it.
If WALL-E doesn’t show up on the Best Picture category, I will never watch the Oscars again. Mark my words.
