Head of Skate, trailer

Posted by Ryan Adams On September - 25 - 2008

Remember the Matt Damon interview that we all enjoyed and admired 100%, when everybody joined hands, sang Kumbyah, made s’mores, and told ghost stories before we paired off in unlikely couples and slipped off to zippered tents to make out? Oh, happy hopeful topic! Here’s another video sure to bring us all together in a totally non-partisan spirit of mutual respect, clumsy fondling, and national unity. From collegehumor.com:

After hearing Matt Damon’s brilliant comparison of a Sarah Palin presidency to a bad Disney movie, I called up Sam Reich (our Director) and said “Let’s make a trailer for what that movie would look like.”

Actually, I think it is cute. Just what I would expect from Disney.

      A missed opportunity.

Like so much lame ass Hollywood fare Head of Skate would probably make money.

“From the makers of Syriana and The Mighty Ducks!” Lol

Some nice gags in there, but ulimately pretty flat…would have been perfection if Tina Fey was in it.

    7. Matthew September 26th, 2008 at 9:53 am 7

That is really funny. Although, I do agree with eegah. I wish Tina Fey could’ve done it, but all in all hilarious. “No, it’s just the Bill of Rights”.

    8. Ryan Adams September 26th, 2008 at 9:56 am 8

Funny too because the production values are so on par with drivel like Honey I Re-Shrunk the Kids, and the ilk.

Democrats should be aware that in this ludicrous age of ignorance, americans that se this might actual consider the trailer a real thing and find the character of Palin to be an everyday good sport and actually remember this come voting time and vote for HER SIDE

I like Damon as an actor, but I think appears rather unprepared and Lindsay Lohanish here. I mean, Damon actually thinks she said that about the age of the earth?? I believe it’s actually from an SNL skit…and her apparent desire to enforce Creationism in schools is incorrect as well. You think he would have researched that a little more before making those remarks. Then again, he’s not paid for his political opinions.

    11. Pete September 26th, 2008 at 3:43 pm 11

JLO…actually, Palin is widely believed to be a Young Earth Creationist and Damon’s question about “how old is the earth” predates the SNL skit.

“You think he would have researched that a little more before making those remarks.”

      Why?

I can’t help but think that McCain brought Palin in as his running mate so that no one would even consider making an attempt on his life.

    14. Michael CarMichael October 1st, 2008 at 1:29 pm 14

      Conservative here…and that was brilliant.

that traler is just so hilarious, it made me laugh so bad. the movie would suck so bad. but stupid people would watch it, as it looks like all those trash crap movies that become that popular.

“Democrats should be aware that in this ludicrous age of ignorance, americans that se this might actual consider the trailer a real thing and find the character of Palin to be an everyday good sport and actually remember this come voting time and vote for HER SIDE”

…in fact, you must fear human stupidity….

      sorry for my english

“Awards don’t matter. Never have, never will. It is still possible, however, to follow the awards season and enjoy it as a spectator of the politics of Hollywood, which I relish in. As Manhola Dargis said, they’re bullshit but we love them anyway. I do not watch the Oscars to see my opinions validated, but that doesn’t stop me from smiling when my favorite films are recognized by anyone, be it this small organization or the Academy Awards

If you think the Oscars are a serious indication of quality then there are no two ways around it: You are an idiot.”
