Posting this out of respect for Emma Thompson and Dustin Hoffmann. Is Last Chance Harvey this year’s About Schmidt or this year’s Bucket List? I suppose we’ll have to wait for the Broadcast Film Critics Assn. to tell us. Unless somebody wants to hazard a guess.

Ummm, yeah, no.
ha, Chris. Look at it this way. Our grandmothers have to have someplace to go when they walk out of Synecdoche, New York after 10 minutes.
It’s a great little film, one that could have been a train wreck in the hands of other actors. I was more impressed with Thompson than Hoffman, however.
Count me in. The trailer looks good.
Meh. I’m thinking Bucket List.
Having seen it, it’s no masterpiece, but certainly no Bucket List. Just a sweet, smart little performance showcase that a lot of people are really going to like. Thompson and Hoffman have terrific chemistry together.
Having also seen it, I’d say it’s a weak Bucket List as best. Thompson is great though.
I’ve heard the studio is planning a major push for Hoffman. I’ve also heard good things pretty much across the board.
I heard good (Not great) reviews about the film but raves about Thompson and especially Hoffman’s performances. If the film goes to Comedy/Musical category at the Globes, Hoffman could win it at Best Actor Category. Hoffman still has a respected career (Very different to DeNiro) and good relations with co-stars and producers in Hollywood, so if the film gets a lot of love is possible a 10th. Oscar Nomination. Plus: He’s a veteran actor.
I don’t think that film is this year’s “The Bucket List”, but we need to wait
Emma Thompson gets more beautiful every year. I’ll see anything with her.
