Will it Matter What Jen Thinks of Angie?

Posted by Susan Thea Posnock On November - 11 - 2008

Oscar season is a rough.  Things you think wouldn’t matter sometimes do matter.  I always said that if Jennifer Aniston had had an awards-worthy performance after her breakup with Brad she would have won.  Dumped women tend to do better at awards time as long as they weren’t the cause of the breakup.  A hint of scandal can derail an Oscar-worthy performance; one only need glance Russell Crowe’s way to see how much.  I honestly think that Sean Penn’s 11th hour breakup with Robin Wright Penn might have cost him some of what he lost last year when Into the Wild was snubbed by the Academy.  But I could be wrong – that is a theory.  At any rate, Jennifer Aniston is telling what she never has told before and doing it in a big way right during the most fertile Oscar voting season.  And thus, this will likely impact Angelina’s Oscar nod in one way or another.  It might seem superficial and silly but voters go on instinct and whether they “like” the person or not, which is why it’s important to get yourself out there.  They have to know you to vote for you nine times out of ten.

The cover of December’s Vogue will show Jennifer Aniston and her soon-to-be-blown-way-out-proportion quote, “What Angelina did was very uncool.” And just like that the story that will never go away will last a little bit longer.  People will say it doesn’t matter what Jennifer Aniston thinks.  Maybe it doesn’t; she was just lampooned on Saturday Night Live for being someone who never takes a stand on anything.    Maybe now she feels she must let loose and say all.  Who knows.  Either way something tells me this might not be good for Ms. Jolie  during awards season.  It could turn out to be great publicity, however.

I don’t why it took Jennifer Aniston so long to expsoe that overrated slut Angelina Jolie. Oh wait! I know. Unlike slutty Jolie, Aniston has some class ( even though she lacks good taste. John Mayer? seriously?)

Angelina should stick to making porn with Banderas because that’s all she’s good it. Oh yeah, and pimping out “adoption” for self-glory and fame.

    2. Holeigh November 11th, 2008 at 1:36 pm 2

You could be right about this, but what I wonder is why people commend Brad and Angelina for “moving on” when Jennifer apparently hasn’t? What happened wasn’t cool, come on! Brangelina have nothing to move on FROM, Jennifer is the one who got cheated on. I think she’s moved on fine, considering her ex treated her like crap (Angelina was knocked up while they were still married, do the math) and she probably sees their pictures everywhere and everyone knows what happened. Yet she gets treated like the shrew most of the time…it’s just weird.

    3. hello1 November 11th, 2008 at 1:57 pm 3

lol #1. Anistone has class? what she needs is a J.O.B lol. Jolie is a goddess in the movie industry whether u like her or not, and trust people like her! aniston keep making ur romantic tragedys (haha) and leave the drama behind. keep dating men and wish you can actually make babies ahahahahahahaha

      Jolie 1, Aniston 0

    4. Yvette November 11th, 2008 at 2:06 pm 4

Angelina is evil and needs to gain about 30 pounds.

I love Jennifer Aniston. I just saw her on Laurel Canyon in Studio City and she was gorgeous!

    5. Liz November 11th, 2008 at 2:08 pm 5

Responses like backto1960’s and hello1 are, for me, the perfect example of the downside of the Internet. Under the cloak of anonymity, people can say the most hateful things about people they don’t even know, things that they would never in real life have the guts to say to said people’s faces.

I don’t care one whit about Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, or Brad Pitt (outside of what they do onscreen), but I find it appalling that people would spend time and energy calling people they don’t even know “sluts” or telling them to keep wishing to “actually make babies.”

If any proof was needed about civilization being on the decline, this is it.

    6. hello1 November 11th, 2008 at 2:18 pm 6

ahaha aniston is a slut who is desperate to have kids, how many guys has aniston slept with since brad left her BORING butt. i could name 6. soo slutty

      Liz,

You take things a bit too seriously. You might need a vacation.

    8. Liz November 11th, 2008 at 2:23 pm 8

I take things too seriously? Are you kidding me? When you’re on here ranting about how Angelina Jolie is evil and bashing her on her weight (very mature, by the way)?

    9. Sasha Stone November 11th, 2008 at 2:29 pm 9

Hello, please do not lodge offensive comments like that at readers of this site. We try to keep it civil and on point here. But while we’re on the topic I see no evidence anywhere that would lead me to believe Jennifer Aniston is a slut. I say this as a proud slut myself.

    10. Yvette November 11th, 2008 at 2:34 pm 10

Sorry Liz. I was not really ranting about Angelina, I just think what she did with another woman’s husband was really uncool. That must have really hurt Jennifer A. I can’t even imagine with all the media how hard it was for her. I feel for her as a woman. You do have to admit she is a bit too thin…(angelina that is).

    11. Liz November 11th, 2008 at 2:39 pm 11

Sasha, just to clarify, are you talking to me? I really don’t think I’ve said anything offensive, and I certainly think it’s no more offensive than calling women sluts or jeering their lack of children. I personally find that offensive, but if we differ on that point, so be it.

Yvette, I simply find ragging on the personal lives of people we don’t know pointless and catty. I feel it’s behavior we should grow out of once we graduate from junior high.

    12. kezza November 11th, 2008 at 2:42 pm 12

Can’t stand Jolie she is seriously in need of therapy – I read yesterday that she has a Mother Theresa complex – I think I agree.

I loved Friends so I always have really liked the whole cast (except maybe Matt Le Blanc LOL!!!). He is a dill as proved on one of our award shows we still make fun of him and this was years ago.

Jen or Poor Jen as the press in Australia calls her is very popular here in good old Oz.

      TEAM JEN!!!

    13. Jen_Fan November 11th, 2008 at 2:58 pm 13

I feel that Angelina’s AMAZING performance last year was WAY overlooked and the academy knows that. They oughtta nominate her this year.

That being said, Angelina’s comments about her love for Brad before the divorce with Jen was COMPLETELY unprecedented. Its like she almost went out of her way to make sure Jen gets hurt.

      Its DISGUSTING.

    14. Rob Y November 11th, 2008 at 3:04 pm 14

      Jen Who?

    15. Sasha Stone November 11th, 2008 at 3:13 pm 15

No, Liz, I was talking about Hello1 whose comment I deleted. He was calling you all sluts.

    16. Yvette November 11th, 2008 at 3:19 pm 16

      Thank you Sasha.

    17. Bastian November 11th, 2008 at 3:37 pm 17

Maybe I’m wrong but Angelina said she FELL IN LOVE with Brad while making that SMITH movie – she didn’t say they were MAKING LOVE while he was still married. Calm down.

On the other hand, since Jolie is with h i m, she made GOOD SHEPHERD and MIGHTY HEART and CHANGELING (all great performances). Her three 2008 movies already made a billion dollars worldwide … since Aniston is without h i m, she made, well, did she ever delivered a role worth mentioning?

    18. Liz November 11th, 2008 at 3:45 pm 18

Ah, thanks Sasha. Sorry if I sounded hostile in my original reply to you.

    19. backto1960 November 11th, 2008 at 3:46 pm 19

      @ liz

My response epitomises the decline of civilisation? LOL…that was funny. I would recommend a sense of humor and also a boyfriend and some friends. You’ll be amazed at how these things will change your perspective on life. I stand by my statements a 100 percent and no edits will be made. FYI,

      1) A woman who snatches another woman’s husband while the husband is still legally married to his wife is a SLUT. Angelina did just this and thus she is a SLUT. No amount of adoption of black and asian babies or visitations to refugee camps will change that fact

      2) Angelina Jolie is overrated and a one-note actress. While this can be debatable, It is my opinion and I have a right to my opinion. IMO, Angelina is only good onscreen when she’s selling sex, having sex or doing action scenes. That’s all she knows and that’s why I call her one-note. Her performance in Girl, Interrupted was overrated. Just because a hairstylist made her look gothic and she was able to twitch her head like a self-destructive mental patient ( which she was in real life…she might still be one but that is also debatable) does not make her a good actress.

    20. backto1960 November 11th, 2008 at 3:49 pm 20

      @ Bastian

she was stoic and static and lifeless in Good Shepperd. She brought no range of emotion to that role…by far the worst actor in the movie. Even Liya Kebede’s 1 second cameo can be said to have outshone Angelina’s performance. An ability to shed tears ( which now does not require talent; Hollywood now has liquids for the eyes to make them shed tears) does not equate to talent; sorry!

    21. Bastian November 11th, 2008 at 4:05 pm 21

      @ backto1960

      1) How do you know that “Angelina did just this and thus she is a SLUT”? As I wrote, she didn’t say a word about homewrecking.

      2) You have your opinion on Jolie’s talent, the studio bosses and academy members have theirs. I can’t think of another 33 year old American girl with her screen predominance.

      May you help me?

    22. Helen November 11th, 2008 at 4:07 pm 22

A MAN CANNOT BE STOLEN. Jennifer Aniston is showing her true colors, what she truly is…an attention seeker, I am glad that she is doing this, and that she went to the Ivy…so that people can see that she is not the girl next door, Rachel Green she wants people to think she is.

    23. Chance November 11th, 2008 at 4:10 pm 23

Back to the subject of the post, sure Jennifer Aniston’s comments are going to stir up the emotions voters have about Angelina Jolie (just look at the comments here…nearly everyone has an opinion and a theory)…but as to whether that will hurt her or help her…time will tell.

Personally, I adore both women…and since I don’t know the facts, I keep my opinions on their personal lives to myself.

    24. backto1960 November 11th, 2008 at 4:16 pm 24

      @ Bastian

As we all know, the academy voters are horny old and grumpy men who will not hesitate to shove an oscar to any beautiful actress who flashes her boobs or is be able to be made “ugly” by her hairstylists. Funny enough, the hairstylists never get any credit; everything is credited to the actress’ ability to “take away all the glamor” and “get into character”. We saw this with theron, swank, tomei, sorvino, and of course, Angelina.

Unfortunately, the moviegoers are also horny men who would sacrifice their lives to see Banderas bang the sh*t outta Angelina or Angelina’s breasts bulging in those tight Lara Croft outfits or Angelina yelling in ecstasy with Brad pitt trapped in between her thighs.

Thanks to the above combination, Angelina has managed to stay relevant. Taking publicity trips to refugee camps, stealing Brad Pitt from his wife and adopting black and asian babies has also been a useful strategy.

    25. Noah R. November 11th, 2008 at 4:17 pm 25

I’ve never been convinced that Russell Crowe lost to Denzel Washington because of his bad behavior. This is the same year that Sidney Poitier won his Honorary Oscar and the same year that Halle Berry was guaranteed to become the first ever African-American Best Actress winner. Giving the Oscar to Denzel, from a PR point-of-view, made the most sense. Especially if we all agree that the Oscars rarely go to the best films/performers of the year. The last one was the exception to the rule, making it true.

As for this story, I doubt it will have much of an effect because it’s old news. Maybe if Brad Pitt had just left her but not years after the fact.

    26. Honestly November 11th, 2008 at 4:17 pm 26

I feel bad for Angelina. I think she would do much better career wise if she left Brad Pitt at the curb. She’s a great actress, humanitarian, and one *if not the most* famous women in Hollywood… she can do so much better without Brad Pitt’s baggage.

he would not have this new humanitarian/good father image without Angelina Jolie.

Someone slap her or give her some coffee to wake her butt up.

    27. backto1960 November 11th, 2008 at 4:18 pm 27

      @ helen

Yes, a man cannot be stolen. Very true; so, Brad Pitt should also be blamed . As much as I hate Angelina, I think it is sexist for people to blame ONLY ANGELINA for the break-up. Brad Pitt is a grown ass man who should have resisted that seductress. Both of them are responsible for this mess. Karma is a bitch brad and angie and it will come back to bite your asses. If Brad was falling out of love with Jen, he should have ended the marriage and then moved on with Jen.

    28. SaltireFlower November 11th, 2008 at 4:24 pm 28

I’m guessing one cannot discuss Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Aniston without choosing a side. On one hand Angelina Jolie is an evil slut of a woman who steals babies from the far flung corners of the world. Jennifer Aniston is supposedly a prudish shrew nobody wants to have sex with.

I’m sorry but I find this very fucking irritating. Nobody ever drags Brad Pitt into this argument. Nobody would ever think of calling HIM a slut for going off with Angelina or a prude for settling down with one woman. I respect them all for different reasons. I admire Angelina for her humanitarian work. Perhaps it is because I’m a sucker. Or perhaps it’s because I’m half-African and I appreciate her efforts. I like Jennifer Aniston because she shows a certain level of class that some of you people are not showing in their comments. Forgive me for ranting but I’m sick of the sexist garbage.

    29. backto1960 November 11th, 2008 at 4:27 pm 29

      @ saltireflower

um, I dragged Brad Pitt into this if you read my post. He’s a fucking idiot and deserves as much slut comments as Angelina does…so even more considering the fact that he was the one married to Aniston.

I’m also FULL AFRICAN…not half… and I see Angelina’s “humanitarian” efforts for what they truly are: PUBLICITY STUNTS.

    30. Honestly November 11th, 2008 at 4:28 pm 30

I agree. It’s very sexist. brad pitt is overrated anyway, and he uses more makeup and botox than both of these women combined.

I don’t think anyone would go to war torn areas just for a publicity stunt. she could just for to the ivy for that.

Angelina has been involved in humanitarian work for going on 8 years now. Brad just started when he met Angelina… who is really looking for the publicity ? I think it’s Brad.

    31. SaltireFlower November 11th, 2008 at 4:39 pm 31

backto1960: I wrote my post long before I refreshed the page to read your comment and I certainly was not only targeting your comments.

I don’t think her humanitarian efforts are publicity stunts. For one thing if it was for publicity I could see her maybe visiting war torn areas and that being the end of it. Or throwing money at the problem like everyone else. But actually adopting children doesn’t strike me as being a publicity stunt. It looks like someone actually doing something.

But, let’s say they are publicity stunts, as someone who is full Africa, why on earth would you care if Angelina Jolie’s humanitatian efforts were publicity stunts? Do you really think refugees give a damn about WHY she’s helping? As long as they get the help and exposure they need to survive what does it matter? Someone is getting something done and that is more than I can say for some.

    32. backto1960 November 11th, 2008 at 4:50 pm 32

      @ saltireflower

so you think Angelina is actually “helping” refugees? what help has she provided to them? feeble makeshift tents that will be blown away by the Savannah winds in 2 days? what? a bag of rice that won’t last an hour? all these refugees do is provide PR for Angelina. All those pictures carrying starving children and covering her head with a hijab while talking to refugee islamic women are simply to promote the Brangelina brand.
Adopting children from third world countries is no novelty. Millions of people have done it before so to crown Angelina as a paramount humanitarian for doing what millions have been doing is laughable.

This is the same Angelina who shut down the tourism industry in Namibia just because of “humanitarian” efforts. They rented out all hotels, people had to kicked out, businesses shut down and police patrol everywhere just because she wanted to give birth in “Africa”. Do you know how many people lost their income? and she gave birth in a sophisticated hospital with a top-notch staff. If she was really in Africa to see how the people lived, why didn’t she go to the villages? she should have given birth in those poor villages with crude tools and local midwives. Instead, she enjoys the luxury of Namibia with the white minority who have seized whole of the country and are exploiting the blacks majority. And she has the nerve to say that she is saving Africa? BITCH, SHUT THE FUCK UP!!

    33. Honestly November 11th, 2008 at 5:22 pm 33

when did she ever say she was saving Africa?

She has done a lot. You can go to the UNHCR page and read up on what she has done before bashing. she’s done A lot more than the Blameless Pitt that’s for damn sure. Why is he doing what he’s doing in New Orleans… because of Angelina and the Humanitarian image that came along with her! He doesn’t have the image of a cad , cheater, or someone who used charity to counter the negative press from dumping his ex… hmm, I wonder why?

    34. Honestly November 11th, 2008 at 5:28 pm 34

One last thing… Brad is a phony fraud!

      Good day!

    35. SaltireFlower November 11th, 2008 at 5:32 pm 35

Yes, I DO think Angelia Jolie is helping. She uses her fame to get the media to pay attention to refugees the media does not ordinarily pay attention to. The only time I have ever seen a news outlet mention Iraqi refugees was when they chased Angelina Jolie around. They would have followed her otherwise because of how famous she is, but instead of stumbling out of some club she actually went to Iraq, Sierra Leone, and Cambodia. If she wanted PR I suspect she would chose an easier route.

What help has she provided? She gave about a million dollars to help Afghan refugees that nobody is paying attention to; she also gave money to refugees trying to move to other countries and to Doctors Without Borders.

I don’t know how many millions of people have adopted children from the third world, but I certainly would commend each and every one of them. Just because these supposed millions have done it doesn’t mean that Angelina’s contribution is meaningless. Because a lot of people have done something commendable then I suddenly cannot recognize one person for doing it? That is ludicrous.

It also sounds ludicrous that you wouldn’t expect Angelina to give birth at a hospital. Why on earth would a mother deliberately put her unborn child at risk? To make you happy? Nobody has ever said Angelina was saving Africa, and certainly not Angelina herself. She seems to do what she can, nothing more. When you go into hyperbole it just blunts your argument. You’re basing your arguments on what you think Angelina is thinking rather than on actual facts and evidence. That’s fine. You’re entitled. I tried to point out the fact that one cannot discuss Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Aniston without mindlessly hating them and choosing a side, and now we’ve gone into mad tirades about why we MUST hate Angelina Jolie (she’s a slut, she’s not doing anything to help refugees, etc). The very thing I pointed out is exactly what people are doing. People can stew in their hatred if they want, but I really don’t have time to loathe either of them so violently.

    36. Alfredo November 11th, 2008 at 6:05 pm 36

I normally like to read all the comments before making one of my own but I couldn’t. Why are people so quick to jump to Jennifer Aniston’s defense like she is some helpless puppy who did nothing wrong. Is it possible that Brad wanted to leave Aniston?? I’m sure their problems started way before Jolie came into Brad’s life. But ok so let’s just say for arguments sake that Jen was the perfect wife – why is all blame/judgement put on Jolie while Brad comes off squeeky clean? Talk about sexism!

Anyway my opinion in the whole matter (not that it matters) is that Jennifer Aniston needs to move on big time! LOL it’s been THREE years for crying out loud!

    37. JR November 11th, 2008 at 6:20 pm 37

I see alot of hate towards Angelina Jolie and it’s disgusting. No one is saying she wants to save Africa. Now doing some humanitarian work is a defective thing to do?. Jesus, backto1960 you need serious help.

Oh poor Jennifer Aniston, poor you. Please!!, she needs to move on with her life. Jolie at least has something going for her right now, whereas Aniston can’t stop crying over past men in her life. And it’s very easy to blame Jolie for everything when Brad Pitt obviously served a big role in the breakup.

    38. Rob Y November 11th, 2008 at 6:24 pm 38

Jen is the Velveeta to Angelina’s Brie.

So that makes Brad the Water Cracker.

      mmmmmm. Cheese and Crackers.

    39. lac November 11th, 2008 at 7:29 pm 39

Once again I wonder why anyone cares about the Oscars. If who gets nominated can be determined by an X wife trying to promote her next movie than the award is not worth the a thing.

    40. Michael November 11th, 2008 at 10:17 pm 40

This entire thread is so embarrassing. I guess it shows what a mediocre movie year 2008 has been thus far that AD slides into perezhilton territory. Save us!

But for the record a) It was uncool and b)It will hurt AJ’s chances, that and the fact that no one is going to remember Changeling in a couple of weeks.

    41. backto1960 November 11th, 2008 at 11:34 pm 41

Angelina is not a good actress to begin with so let’s not blame her inability to snatch as oscar nom on Jennifer Aniston. We sadly live in a world where no talents like Jolie win oscars for playing themselves (we all know Jolie was psychotic when she did Girl, Interrupted. Thus, she was simply living her life in that movie. Some will argue that she’s still psychotic but let’s leave that debate for another day).

Oh wow, these comments were… interesting.

    44. anon November 12th, 2008 at 6:06 am 44

      A very neutral remark!

Jennifer Aniston is an academy member is well respected in the industry.

Angelina Jolie was great in Changeling, but I think the not so great reviews for the film plus another Clint Movie and then this article are totally going to ruin her chances and this is a pretty tough race so I think she is pretty much out of the picture…its like negative press for her!

She’s no D-list star who will be up there with all kind of press she’s an A-list actress she needs good press.

    45. Nancee November 12th, 2008 at 4:05 pm 45

      Angelina has an Oscar already.

What has Ms, Aniston done professionally that’s worthy of discussion?

    46. backto1960 November 12th, 2008 at 4:16 pm 46

      @ Nancee

Angelina has an undeserved oscar. What did she actually do in that movie which was so oscar award worthy? because she twitched her head like a mental patient (…and she was one in real life, at that time, so she deserves no credit for playing herself. what a stretch.) ? or because she looked “gothic” and “rough” ( credit for the transformation belongs to the hairstylists…not Angelina). It bugs me that real actresses like Kate Winslet and Annette Bening don’t have oscars but an overrated sex pot like Jolie gets an oscar because horny academy voters can’t stop staring at her emaciated boobs and gargantuan lips.

As for Aniston, let’s not even compare. ANiston built her career with convincing comedic acting chops and she made America laugh every week. Unlike Angelina, who built by celebrity by doing amateur porn with Antonio Banderas, making out with her brother, drugs, publicly airing her family’s dirty laundry, swapping blood pendants, adopting black and asian babies, stealing husbands, and endless PR trips to refugee camps.

Watch an episode of friends and then watch The Good girl and Friends with Money. Aniston plays a part, she doesn’t play a character. She doesn’t drag excess baggage into a movie set. The role controls her, she doesn’t control the role. Unfortunately, we can’t say the same for Jolie.

    50. David November 13th, 2008 at 10:10 am 50

Jennifer Aniston is an ageing, bitter, TV-star who wishes that she could have the film career of a Julia Roberts with hits in romantic comedies and what have you. She is bitter towards Angelina Jolie because she’d gladly kill Earth Mother just to have her kind of Oscar-minted film career. That is why for the longest time she decided not to give Brad Pitt children in order to forward her career. That is why Brad Pitt hooked up with someone willing to start a family with him and this made Jennifer Aniston even more bitter… losing a good (gorgeous) husband and having a fluff film career of leading lady arm candy and God-awful romcoms! Sadly, though truthfully, Jennifer Aniston is just good for the boobtube and not for the silverscreen. So get over it Jen! Move on! Though in my opinion… you don’t move on from a Brad Pitt to a Vince Vaughn or to a John Mayer. And for that i bestow on you, no, not an honorary Oscar, but a big fat “L” to be embossed on your forehead. Because that is what your are J.A., the “L” word. bwahahaha! P.S. I’m not siding with Jolie.. because I don’t care for her either… neither for Brad. Cheers!

    51. K.K. November 13th, 2008 at 12:09 pm 51

I don’t know about other people, but I think it is good the Aniston is venting. I grew from loving her to hating her because everyday I read about her in the newspaper. Is that really necessary? I know she wants to keep herself in the spotlight, and yes, you’ve been cheated on and that’s very sad and angry. yes, you might not get over it, but she seems more to exploit that victim status in order to get exposure rather than truly angry or upset about the incident. So, Jen, if you’ve read this, please, now’s the time to go away silently….to 30 Rock? At least, hopefully, this guest-star/recurring role will remind people why she’s the 2nd most talented in the Friends’ cast (Lisa Kudrow will always be my number 1….hello the Combeback!!)

To answer the original question, it’s a possibility that it could have an effect…but we might never know the answer. Changeling is a weak film and the Best Actress category is already starting to look crowded.

To everyone else: GET A LIFE! U act like u know these people personally!

aniston is just jealous that jolie can have any movie role she want, and aniston is only stuck with TV roles and romantic comedies. its sad jolie can get any role she wants plus get all the media attention, aniston only gets attention for all the tears and men shes with. do something else but feel sorry for yourself aniston, move on with your life and make a decent movie please.

“That is why for the longest time she decided not to give Brad Pitt children in order to forward her career.”

      Ahem.

Matters of movies and celebrity-sniping aside, since when do we talk about women having to “give” their husbands children in this day and age? Frightening.

And Aniston deserved an Oscar nod for “The Good Girl.” That’s all I want to contribute to the discussion.

      * Angelina is a slut for stealing another woman’s wife
      * Brad Pitt is an ass-hole for cheating on his wife with an unstable seductress

      My final word!!

    56. David November 14th, 2008 at 9:40 pm 56

How does a talentless hack like Aniston get a vote in who’s worthy of an Oscar?
Backto1960, I’m sorry your husband cheated on you but get over it !

    57. backto1960 November 15th, 2008 at 7:00 am 57

      @ David

Aniston is a “talentless hack”? watch an episode of friends, then watch the good girl and then watch Friends with Money. Your inability to see talent says something about your lack of talent

Secondly, I don’t have a husband….or a wife. I’m a college student who happens to believe that to cheat on your spouse is abominable. If you have fallen out of love with them, break up the relationship so you are free to do whatever you want. I know, I’m weird for believing in such moral codes and trying to uphold a certain standard. I know, I know, I’m crazy.

      “I know, I know, I’m crazy.”

Thank God finally you realize it!

Where does anyone come off believing they know there was cheating in the Pitt Aniston marriage? That’s a huge assumption. Everyone involved in this situation claimed there was absolutely no cheating. As for being “uncool” all Jolie did in that interview – an interview over 2 years old – was discuss her enjoyment at working with her co-star. That’s it – nothing more. Something actors do and report on all the time.

In another interview Jolie had mentioned that toward the END of the filming of Mr & Mrs Smith they began to consider a romantic involvement. Well, the end of the filming was months after Pitt and Aniston separated and even after they filed for divorce. Anyone who has an issue with becoming involved with someone after a separation and divorce papers have been filed just plain has issues – or is just looking to hate someone.

I find it appalling that strangers think they can accuse people of adultery when they have no basis to do so. Anyone who thinks they know the truth of another’s marriage is delusional at best. If you want to discuss immorality – well, there it is: slanderous accusations based on an irrational hatred for someone you don’t even know and an even more irrational trust in ridiculous trash tabloids.

We won’t even get into the equally irrational praise of the awful acting that is Aniston (as further evidenced on 30 Rock) and of a sitcom completely devoid of talent in writing and in acting (okay maybe save Kudrow).

Will this affect Jolie and her Oscar chances? I hope not. You’d think we’d seen enough misogyny and sexism this past year to last a lifetime.
