‘Tis the season when studios offer up selected scripts for some of their most prestigious films. Disney has the WALL·E screenplay online, and thanks to glimmer for pointing out Paramount Vantage has its “For Your Consideration” stocking stuffed with goodies, featuring The Duchess, Defiance, and Revolutionary Road — with downloadable scripts for the first two of those titles. As glimmer says, each year it seems the studios expand the availability of cool materials previously found only in press kits reserved for insiders. It’s another indication of the pervasive power of the net, and an acknowledgment that the more people who are in the loop the more invested the public becomes in the films the studios seek to promote.
Another nice surprise on the Paramount Vantage site are 14 tracks from James Newton Howard’s original score for Defiance.

Screenplay for Milk also available. http://filminfocus.com/awards08/index.php
Disney’s awards site is looking pretty sad. High School Musical 3 for Best Picture…

The below message is pure speculation….I repeat pure speculation
So apparently, some people at the IMBd board have seen Cadillac records and they were mesmerized by Beyonce’s performance. However, she’s in the movie for a limited amount of time ( her screen time is said to be about 30 minutes). They also praised the performances by Brody and Wright. Someone said Brody takes center stage.

Since this is pure speculation, I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about buzz for Cadillac records?
There’s also a For Your Consideration site for The Dark Knight, that includes the screenplay:

I’m very interested in Cadillac Records. I’m suspicious that no one’s really considering it. I think Beyoncé was kind of upstaged by Jennifer Hudson and Eddie Murphy in Dreamgirls, but she gave a very impressive performance.
Great tips, those about the scripts. Thanks a lot! Already downloaded both of them. If you guys discover more scrpits avaiable, please, anounce here. I read last week the Eric Roth’s one for “The Curious Case of Banjamin Button” and astonishes me. Didn’t like Fincher previous works quite a lot, but I think it will be the best of his career.
i’m blushing…thanks ryan !!!!
(yes i’m exicted/sorry everyone !!!)
i hope the reign of scripts continues !
Wall*E should be nominated for Best Picture. You cannot tell me it’s not one of the best films of year. The academy wonders why it’s ratings go down, it’s because they are out of touch.
Thanks for the script links!!!
I have to say that that excerpt of the Wall-E script in the picture was just about the sweetest thing ever. Now I just want to see Wall-E again–such a great film.
