Weird.
Wall-E in best film. I think I like.
Danny Boyle gets nominated in both the categories! They truly, madly, deeply love him.
What a wonderful line-up for British Film of the Year.
loving best pic for ben button hurray!!!
I wish Happy-Go-Lucky were more acclaimed.
I’m very happy for the indication of Angelina Jolie. Visit my Web site about the actress http://www.angelinajolie.com.br
Obviously the Brits felt Ledger’s role in “The Dark Knight” was a lead. Interesting.
I appreciate how they break down from Actor and British Actor of the year. Spread the love and isn’t biased towards Americans or British, they are separate. Very cool.
No Penelope.
Clint’s first directing nom?
No Leonardo. : (
Huh, they merged Lead/Supporting (overall) Actor & Actress. Interesting. And since overall & British noms have multiple overlaps, I guess this means that Slumdog actually isn’t in their top five. Whoo.
No Penelope? Yes, in Actress of the year
PETER O’TOOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love that man!
The most noteoworthy nod for me is MARK STRONG for BODY OF LIES.
I was hoping he’d do well on this side of the Atlantic too.
Can someone please explain why Rev. Road is dubiously absent from almost every single pre-cursor?
Rev. Rd. hasn’t gotten much attention because you can see the film pracically on daytime TV. All the film is about are two people who are miserable, and bitter. Why is that interesting? Hell, if I wanted to see that, I could’ve convinced my parents not to get a divorce.
I guess they don’t support supporting categories. Then why make a seperate supporting category for British films?
DiCaprio snubbed again.
I like the love for “Changeling” from this group.
Major snow storm up here in Toronto so since I am snowed in today I actually have some time to catch up on all the nomination news of the last few days. London Film Critics, like BAFTA, always make me happy because they seem to recognize deserving performances that otherwise get snubbed by other awards groups. Interesting how some make it on the “British” list as well as the other list like Winslet and Danny Boyle. Happy for “In Bruges” & Michael Sheen who seems to always get left out while his co-stars receive all the glory. Like Sheen, the same can be said for Ralph Fiennes and again London Film Critics do not disappoint since I see him recognized for at least one of his performances this year.
yay for anything in bruges related !
Michael Fassbender was born in Germany to an Irish mother and German father. He then moved back with his parents to the REPUBLIC OF IRELAND: Killarney, Co.Kerry to be precise, when he was 2.
Liam Cunningham was born and reared and still lives in DUBLIN, REPUBLIC OF IRELAND.
HOW ON EARTH CAN THESE TWO FINE ACTORS BE CLASSED AS ‘BRITISH’?
