You Know You’ve Arrived When…

Eli Roth wearing a Scorsese tee

Slash Film has an ongoing series they call “cool stuff” and today’s is about film geek t-shirts. How cool do you have to be to get your name on a t-shirt for a film geek to proudly wear, announcing his obsession to the world? Scorsese, Fassbinder, Von Trier, Ingmar Bergman…They sell them at Mondo Tees.

Let’s just hope Eli Roth never gets his own shirt.

    3. Gus March 14th, 2008 at 5:51 pm 3

Why is Eli Roth allowed to make movies?

    4. Tufas March 14th, 2008 at 7:25 pm 4

Hmmmmmm I’ll give Javier a break from our 24 hour love drive and throw Eli a bone as well… *LOL

      He is TEH HAWT

I like both “Hostel”. For me, Eli Roth is a real talent in the new gore movie scene – along with Rob Zombie. But what I think it’s cool in the picture, is that he demonstrates an enthusiasm of a nerd, a fan, and in fact he already establishes himself not, of course, as a major filmmaker like Scorsese, but as a director with an ongoing career.

I suppose this picture show his admiration for something in the art he pratices it, and it’s vital to any artist to preserve this love, this flame.

Mondo Tees comes from the great city of Austin, more specifically the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. Just thought I’d throw that in there.

      Hotness.

    8. Slavanova March 17th, 2008 at 11:19 pm 8

Eli Roth is an idiot hack who doesn’t even realize that he is contributing to the downfall of great cinema, like the kind that Scorsese makes.

He doesn’t deserve that T-shirt, even if it is just as cheesy as he is.

      Eli is a poser.

Take off the T-shirt. You don’t deserve to even say the word ‘Scorsese’.

He looks like frickin’ Ben Stiller in Zoolander. Which just happens to be a much better directed movie than anything Eli Roth has done. His best work is a 2 minute trailer in Grindhouse; and even that was the worst one there.
