AwardsDaily is a year-round Oscar site. We track buzz and monitor Oscar contenders as well as the occasional Emmy contender. AwardsDaily began two years ago after the site’s founder, Sasha Stone, was sued by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for using Oscarwatch.com as the site’s name for eight years prior.
Sasha Stone grew up in Los Angeles, attended UCLA, NYU and Columbia University. She has written for Variety and the Hollywood Reporter. She began Oscarwatch/AwardsDaily as a startup back in 1998.  She lives in Los Angeles with her now twelve year-old daughter.
