Salvation Boulevard earns a tracking point on my radar primarily because I admire director George Ratliff for giving us Joshua in 2007 — one of the creepiest Bad Seed movies in years. Starring Pierce Brosnan, Greg Kinnear, Ed Harris, Jim Gaffigan, Marisa Tomei, Jennifer Connelly, Salvation Boulevard premiered at Sundance in January and opens July 15.
Set in the world of mega-churches in which a former Deadhead-turned-born again-Christian finds himself on the run from fundamentalist members of his mega-church who will do anything to protect their larger-than-life pastor.

That poster is fucking awful! 🙁 I actually want to see this, it has a very likable cast, movie looks decent.

Although I think the poster is absolutely awful, that trailer really grabbed my interest! Looks like a great cast and I’ll definitely try to catch it if I get the chance.

Great cast, but looks like made-for-cable fare.

The poster makes it look very DTV…
Ironic that Ratliff is working with Isabelle Fuhrmann in this film. She played the lead in Orphan, a film that was made shortly after Joshua, and which featured a very similar plot and Vera Farmiga in the lead role.
