Huge improvement. A few days ago we were shown a disappointing generic template design. Now upgraded to one of the best posters of the year. Compare after the cut.

TRUE.
TRUE.
And don’t deny it, Ezra is fucking good-looking.
Well… there is a convincing mother-son resemblance, I’ll say that.

Hmm, in a same way the poster for Afterschool could be similar. Same actor, same pretty face looking menacing. And don’t deny it, Ezra is fucking good-looking. Angelic face with devilish eyes. What say you, Damien?

Yeah Tero, the color is probably the main connection. It may also be that Swinton’s garb, posture, and expression call to mind images like this.

I don’t get it.
Which Rosemary’s Baby-ish poster? The colour is a factor only?
Give me a link of what you mean, please.

What Vanessa tell to Ralph Fiennes? ‘Swallow this crying face because will be ME to receive the Oscar next year!’

NeverTooEarly, I’d say that in some ways, it looks like it can very much be a “horror” film, in terms of it’s …. well, “horrific” theme/plot … not just the whole student mass murderer/psychopath, but the taboo idea that a mother may not be able to love her child … and whether that led to his actions, or whether he was inherently evil .. nature/nurture …
Getting goosebumps, can’t wait to watch it :3

Much better! The one looks like it could be any generic movie. The other makes it look really creepy–and screams BAIT! Could also draw in some unsuspecting movie-goers who think it is a horror film.

I suggest a response post to every podcast.
I wanted to say that after the discussion on whether or not actors would nominate a MoCap role for Best Supporting actor, I believe all the FX people would also vote against it.
Knowing animtors as I do, they feel they have just as big a role if not bigger in the final output of a MoCap character’s acting.
If the acting of Ceasar was that good (I haven’t seen it yet.) then I would expect POTA to win the visual effects award.

Rosemary’s Baby is the first thing I thought of.

Better. But it’s VERY indebted/homaged /ripoff of Rosemary’s Baby.
But maybe that’s quite clever.

Oh my God. That poster alone makes me want to see this movie. Swinton’s character looks totally devastated and utterly bewildered. I think the film has the potential for some gut-wrenching, emotionality that may be difficult to watch . . . or in the alternative, you may not be able to take your eyes off the screen!
I am also anxious to see Tilda Swinton’s other movie which is now in pre-production: “Die Blutgräfin”. It is categorized as “Drama | Horror” and this is the basic plot summary taken from IMBD: “Countess Erzsébeth Báthory is looking for the roots of her family and gets deep into the history of Vienna and the royal Habsburg family.”
Doesn’t that sound like a great follow-up to “We Need To Talk About Kevin” ?

The other one is straight-to-video and the other… wow. Nice contrast.

I’m loving all of this. Read the novel, pretty good. The whole movie’s looks and posters seems to go for that 80-90s arthouse flick thing, which is pretty interesting. Though I haven’t seen it, so I’ll have to wait and see.

Wow. That is killer. Makes the previous one look all the more insipid by contrast.
