    Over the top Oscar campaigning…

    Funny thing is she’s way hotter in the movie when she’s putting the screws to terrorists and skeptics within her own administration. “I’m the motherfucker in GQ Magazine” doesn’t have quite the same ring to it…

    I think she looks very fake, almost uncomfortable in her own skin” in these pics. She is much prettier when she shows up at talk shows and be herself

    @Aragorn

    probably because that’s not her skin. She’s playing a character for the photoshoot.

    This hyper-sexualization is very funny considering the movie that she’s campaigning for. And yet, all I can think about now is being in bed with Jessica Chastain. Damn you media!

    Good for her. She is a very pretty woman with a beautiful body and a great ass. Nothing to be ashamed of. Kate Winslet has done a million naked photoshoots posed like this. It’s part of what every actress has to do to sell their film. The biggest group to target for ZD30 are men so you do a sexy photoshoot in a men’s magazine. This is the ‘business’ part of show business. Movies don’t sell themselves folks.

    WOW…she has my vote ! Michelle Williams did the same photo shoot for GQ when she was up for the Oscar last year.

    Appearing as a male sex object in a magazine vs. onscreen … One less feminist than the other? Not sure.

    I don’t think I should stand up.

    “Movies don’t sell themselves folks.”

    OK. I’m waiting for the spread called “the hunks from Zero Dark Thirty” because, after all is said and done, it’s the female audience they’ll have to work harder at drawing.

    Whatever gets the word out on her performance. It worked for Jennifer Lawrence when Winter’s Bone was being pushed.

    @steve50: my understanding is the men in ZD30 all have minor roles. Plenty of male actors do hunky spreads in Men’s Health, GQ, and Details when selling their films. Women aren’t as visually stimulated as men, you got to mentally turn them on. The way to get women to see your film is by going to female oriented talk shows like The View and Ellen. Pretty sure Chastain will do that too highlighting the fact that she’s the lead. That will appeal to women.

    Jessica Chastain can be my wife for all I care.

    Melissa Leo is again saying “why not me?”

    Only kidding! Love her

    I find her weird. First she’s 30, now we know she’s 35. She’s a serious actress, now she’s a piece of ass. Dudes don’t have to do this. Does she have a brain, or an agent? Sad times for women – Lois Smith, rolling over in grave

    Reminds me of the THR Actress roundtable were it was revealed Mila Kunnis was told her career would be over if she didn’t pose for GQ or whatever middle life crisis man mag. I’m wondering if Chastain runs in the same professional circles; all hail the first ‘hot’ actress to tell GQ to go fuck themselves..
