Man – I totally forgot about Shore and The Hobbit.
Can’t wait to get the score! He’s 3 wins for 3 nominations on the Rings music/song. Wonder if he he can do it a fourth time.
Awesome! The LOTR scores may be my favorite ever. This sounds unique enough to feel like something new, but still definitely fits the old scores. Really like it!
Not quite, Adam. He won Score for FOTR and Score/Song for ROTK, but was absent from both categories for TTT.
Oh, wait, I may have misinterpreted your comment, Adam, my mistake. However, to continue to be nitpicky, he’s technically 3/4 for Rings nominations (lost Original Song from Fellowship of the Ring to Monsters Inc.).
the Two Towers score was disqualified by the Academy but they rectified it for Return of the King.
This piece surprised me in many ways. One being the uniqueness of the sound and the familiarity of some of the themes.
What I like about the score the most though is fact that it’s epic, emotional, and sweeping just like Lotr sounded like.
Which makes me feel good about the film in general since Jackson has talked a good deal about the comedic aspects. So we should get a film series that’s wholly its own but also flavor from the Lotr films.
to be nitpicky myself…Shore wasn’t nominated for the Fellowship song.
Enya, Nicky Ryan, and Roma Ryan were the nominees
I’m melting away! Goose bumps all over.
the song at the end had a Harry Potter feeling to it;)
Yes Alexandra kinda ^_^ something wicked this way comes.
Rg…I thought so too…and to tell you the truth,I personally loved that musical part in Harry Potter;that and the main theme were the ones that always stuck with me…
