This is my prediction this year! So congrats to Dallas! A BP/BD split this year is very much possible. Lincoln for BP and Bigelow for BD.
Wow Sally Field for a change of pace. It’s been Hathaway all along. Hathaway, declared winner at the Oscar, by a mile! 🙁 You don’t like me. You really don’t like me.
I smell a conspiracy. Do you really think it’s a coincidence that the first critic’s group to award Lincoln is the one representing the very city in which John F. Kennedy was assassinated? I think not.
Lincoln has, so far, been trailing Zero Dark Thirty and Argo more significantly than I had expected in terms of major love from critics’ groups. I don’t think it entirely needs this love, as I expect the Guilds and the Academy to go for it big time (like the HFPA), but it doesn’t want to get left behind – 0D30 and Argo are too strong for Lincoln’s hopes to be kept alive should that happen.
It looks like supporting actor is still between Tommy Lee Jones and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Take it all the way, PSH!
Phantom, I also noticed this morning that Lincoln had not won a single picture award. Very strange.
What a great result. Go Steven Spielberg and his Lincoln team!!!!!!!!!!
First award for Lincoln, Thank god.
Supporting Actress, the association named Sally Field for LINCOLN.
FINALLY!
At last, it was weird that Lincoln hadn’t won a BP award so far, especially because critics groups definitely didn’t go indie this year (Zero Dark Thirty, Argo, Life of Pi).
By the way, Toronto (TFCA) announced, too.
finally. Deserved win.
