I have hard that the Zero Dark Thirty and Django Unchained screeners might not have gotten to the SAG nominating committee in time, as they finished just in the knick of time.
I have always wondered, though, if voters don’t just put down names anyway, in anticipation of how great they will be based on buzz and reviews.
But I’m going to predict that:
1. Lorraine Toussaint, Middle of Nowhere shows up in the Supporting Actress race
2. Emayatzy Corinealdi shows up in the Best Actress race. Tomorrow I will be writing about the NAACP blew it big time by not nominating Middle of Nowhere for Best Film.
3. Richard Gere, Best Actor for Arbitrage
NGNG:
Best Actor – Bradley Cooper
Best Actress – Helen Mirren
Best Sup. Actor – Javier Bardem
Best Sup. Actress – Nicole Kidman
Oh, wait…
guess the list was real – does anyone else agree with me that leaks suck? I hate the element of surprise taken out of things.
And DAME Maggie Smith leads with 4 noms for Downton Abbey and Marigold!!! Is that a record?
Please… THIS STUPID LIST IS FAKE!!!!!
Are fools to believe in that?
I’ m not!
Rumor has it!
Good day for Maggie Smith! Too bad she doesn’t care about awards.
No ZDT for Ensemble …… the tide could be turning! I think come Oscar time to campaign will be a head to head between Lincoln and Les Miz!
Well the stunt list matched the leaked list – if the leaked list turns out to be true then there are some poor choices, IMO! Safe, safe and oh yeah SAFE!
LES MIS for stunt ensemble methinks the laked list was right!!!
OMG It’s happening; it’s happening!!!!!
Thanks so much Heath87 – you’re a star!!!!! 😉
Last minute:
Samantha Barks for Supporting
Moonrise Kingdom for Ensemble
@danemychal
Beware the British bump!!!
Last year, Gary Oldman was completely out of the race up until the Baftas, yet he took Dicaprio’s spot at the Oscars, even though Leo had been nommed everywhere (Critics Choice, SAG, Globes).
That tells us the Academy is UNPREDICTABLE but they sure love the Brits and all things British!
If these hold up, my comments: Beasts of the Southern Wild and Emmanuelle Riva could hugely impact the race. Remember, there are usually a couple differences between the SAG and Oscar noms. Best Actress feel like its anything but sewn up after Chastain and Lawrence.
The absence of Django and of Phoenix means we know which film Harvey is putting his considerable weight behind this year.
The Gurus of Gold are wise but the Gold Derby folks are lagging behind. Lincoln and SLP’s 4 nominations are more solid than the 4 by Les Mis (there’s no stunt ensemble Oscar, in case you didn’t know). We would have known there was overwhelming love in SAG had either Barks or Redmayne gotten in. Instead, Lincoln gets more nods in Supporting and SLP is the only film that can boast 2 noms in Lead (plus one supporting).
Argo is still alive and well!
The way I see it:
Lincoln
SLP
Les Mis
ZDT
Argo
If there were 5 BP nominees tomorrow, those would be them. And that’s the order i would put them in. But…so many things yet to come.
I accidentally woked up. Where we at? In here?
p.s. Jamie Foxx is wearing an Old Lady sweater on the Today Show.
1. Nate Parker for Arbitrage for Supporting Actor
2. Kelly Reilly for Flight for Supporting Actress
3. The Avengers for Ensemble
http://sagawards.tntdrama.com/
@glenn for here it is!
Does anyone know of a good live streaming for the SAG noms – I’m in Europe!!!
Hmm apparently the entry on McGregor’s page pops up because Plummer mentioned his full name in his speech. When you click on that link it will lead you to the winners page. Click on Plummer’s video&transcript and you’ll see McGregor’s name there as well as a bunch of other names who also have the same ‘Nominee: Beginners’ link.
This is legit!
like sasha said it could just be a drill, so we’ll know the entire truth in 30 or 45 minutes
They might be dummy links, but still, by extrapolating the search engine results, the nominees look like this:
ENSEMBLE
———-

STUNT ENSEMBLE

Les Misérables
Skyfall
@cristophe
Try ‘Les stunt’. But Sasha is righ; how do you explain Mcgregor for Beginners?
The second Skyfall nominee is Bardem. Now that would be awesome.
Geez skyfall is overrated. It was a better than talky solace. Royale still the best.
Skyfall most exciting part was the beginning.and end.
If these are the SAG nominees, I’ll give up on the SAG Awards forever.
These is the same IDIOTIC group that gave awards to Judi Dench for CHOCOLAT (of all her films?), to Annette Bening over Hilary Swank in Boys Don’t Cry and to Renee Zellweger over Julianne Moore and Diane Lane!
And it makes so much sense for them to snub Phoenix, but what frightens me is the overall sense of these “nominations”. They are AWFUL!
@helios
same goes for “Les Misérables stunt” – that one sounds very fishy but who knows?
I hope you’re right, that this as a hacker job and not a hack job.
Without conirmation we cant say anythung. Maybe there are problmes on their site. These all can be fake.
Type in ‘skyfall stunt’ and you’ll get an entry but nothing for ‘skyfall dench’. Kidman is in lol
ALERT: THIS MIGHT JUST BE A DRILL!
According to Sasha’s twitter, they already did it last year: they put up “dummy pages” for the alleged locks and frontrunners in order to be ready to go online right after the announcement, but these are not the official winners!
Yeah, someone found one for Ewan McGregor for last year and he wasn’t nominated for Beginners.
steve50
More likely that Skyfall has a second in the Stuntmen-category, no ? There are 5 ‘articles’ for Supporting Actress and none of those is Dench.
When I type in Skyfall, two entries pop up. Looks like Dench is the 5th Supporting Actress nominee.
If my memory serves me well, there was a similar situation in 2008/2009 first with the Golden Globes (there was a * next to the supposed winners on their website, but it was a fake-out, for example Hathaway was the winner for ‘Rachel Getting Married’) and then a few weeks later there was a rather real-looking Academy-document also with the winners that listed Amy Adams (Doubt) as Best Supporting Actress. So as real as THIS leak looks like, take it with a grain of salt. They will be ridiculed if this actually happens and frankly, leaks this prominent don’t happen for a reason. My conspiracy theory goes as far as predicting that even if this was the original list, now they will change at least a few things simply to avoid public humiliation. OK…rant ovah!
Good work, mecid!
(no Riva, either – jeeeezus)
No Phoenix? After no Fassbender last year? It’s a clubhouse vote with zero credibility.
“I never said all actors are cattle; what I said was all actors should be treated like cattle. ”
– Alfred Hitchcock
Lol Sasha is asking on Twitter where she can find the list… Just read your comments section and you’ll know everything!! thx again mecid
@mecid
it’s on their site so it’s legit, they’re just waiting 6 am to put it on their front page. So here we have it… another big list of noms with all the frontrunners/locks. Now on to the Globes tomorrow (that should be funny as usual, I guess the leaks should start very soon) and then we can finally take a holiday break until early January 🙂
Thanks, now let’s hope this won’t be the real list, that would be just depressing. Not that these nominees aren’t worthy, more like how the fuck could a leak this big actually happen ? It would kill the joy out of the whole experience and after all this IS the most important precursor in the acting races.
Nicole Kidman? Was she good in the Paperboy? I think these are accurate. They just need to make their website more spoiler-proof.
maybe they are kidding? But I find this type “leake” in Boston Critics Society awards too some days ago. Some hours before announcing they showed Bigelow as 2 time BD winner.
It is Kidman indeed
@phantom
it is neither Barks or Seyfried, I just checked and they are only listed once, Hathaway on the other hand is listed twice for the 19th sag awards so ensemble and supporting. Les Mis is indeed listed 4 times and according to mecid the 4th one is Best Stunt ensemble which is weird since nobody expected Les Mis in that category but I guess those fighting scenes were hard to shoot and they had plenty of stuntmen.
phantom, according to leakes 5th BSA nominee is Kidman for Paperboy and Les Mis’s 4th nominations is “stunts ensemble”.
The Dark Knight Rises seems to have a nomination.
No fucking way, could the biggest clusterfuck of the season have already happened ? A LEAK this big ? It’s not like the Poughkeepsie Film Critics, it’s the fucking SAG ! I went to the site, I didn’t find an actual list, but I typed in movie titles and I got results like this : The 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards Nominee: The Impossible. And when I typed in films with potentially multiple nominations, like Lincoln, I got the same text 4 (!) times…and the film is a lock for exactly 4 nominations. Urgh, I REALLY hope it is a simple mistake/joke. And if it isn’t, Barks or Seyfried is the 5th supporting actress nominee on mecid’s list, because Les Misérables also has 4 ‘nominee articles’ and only Jackman, Hathaway, the Ensemble are on mecid’s list and Supporting Actress only has 4, Supporting Actor has all 5.
@mecid
you mean stunt ensemble right? that’s weird but cool! that would be 4 noms for les mis like lincoln and slp. not sure if it means much in terms of general support we’ll see.
Flipping egg. That’s embarrassing
these are leaked. we need confirmation.
Les Mis has “stants” too, I think.
type Master Philip and it shows.
So Lincoln and SLP lead with 4 noms, Les Mis trails with 3 noms, Best exotic and the sessions 2, and only 1 for zd30
Are you sure about Hoffman in supporting?
zd30 is not in best ensmeble.
there are a lot of shocks.
1. The Impossible for Best Ensemble Cast
2. The Master shut out entirely
3. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel gets three nominations
The 5th supporting actress is Kidman in the Paperboy
LOL mecid seems to be right. Spoil it for yourself if you want.

Dench Bardem Dowd
Skyfall’s Judi Dench and Javier Bardem will also get in the supporting categories.
Moonrise Kingdom – Ensemble Cast
Denzel Washington snubbed

It won’t happen, but Dark Knight Rises gets a deserving Best Ensemble nomination
Since SAG plays it quite safe, I don’t think we are looking at any surprises in terms on inclusions but I definitely can see some surprise exclusions. So my NGNG comprises of exclusions:
1. Zero Dark Thirty doesn’t get Best Ensemble nomination
2. Emmanuelle Riva, snubbed for Best Actress
3. No one from Argo gets supporting nom.
Personally, I won’t like any of the above to happen, but you never know.
This is my first time doing No Guts No Glory, so I’m nervous! But oh well here I go:
1) Rachel Weisz nominated in Best Actress.
2) Christoph Waltz nominated in Lead Actor rather than Supporting.
