Great one-two punch for The Master! Maybe it can still crack best picture.

    Perfect list.
Put PTA for director and screenplay and this would be the Oscar Winners List. S2

  3. December 16, 2012

Oops, I forgot. Change Tommy Lee Jones for Hoffman or Holland and woukd be THE PERFECT OSCAR WINNERS LIST. :D

I cant see The Master missing out on a Best Picture nomination now. It will get enough #1 votes.

There is a potential prospect this year for all 4 acting categories to be won by previous winners.

    Day-Lewis seemingly has Best Actor
Some previous actress winners in that field.
Supporting actor will have likely noms in PSH & TLJ, as well as maybe Waltz & Arkin.
Supporting actress the likes of Hunt and Sally Field.

Actress will probably be the hardest to crack, some fiercer competition there from non-winners.

As a San Franciscan, I’m wondering how many members the SF Film Critics has? The only local critic who could remotely be called high-profile is notorious contrarian Mick LaSalle and he didn’t much like “The Master”. Thrilled to see the film getting some love, nonetheless
