Gold Derby’s Oscar Acceptance Speech Contest

Tom O’Neil has never been one to take the Oscar race very seriously — oh how I envy him for that.  This year he’s got a total site overhaul with a lot of fancy knobs to play with. Ahem.  The latest is a video contest for Oscar speeches. This one is currently the frontrunner. I sort of like Tom’s but he has the lowest score so far:

    “Dear Poster,

I found your website to be extremely informative. Most emerging filmmakers don’t know where to start or what they need before approaching investors. It’s hard work but your website is a great start. The step by step guidance, listing of necessary documents, items and presentations that investors seek are all very important. Your website is a great outlet for potential filmmakers.

I would like to express my appreciation in putting together such an extensive and invaluable ebook. This is a powerful resource and one that is sure to connect many emerging filmmakers with an investor suitable for their project. I have already contacted several members and found them to be very open, honest and willing to work with my projects.

Many thanks for providing this resource. Having this information, I feel confident to proceed with our diverse projects and cultivate potential business relationships”.

    Sincerely”
    Torikul
