Frances Ha was all the rage at Telluride but was held back for this past awards season. It will be too easy for critics and viewers to look at Frances Ha and see Girls but there are differences. The script was co-written by Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig and is one of the few stories to come out that is really a kind of Five Easy Pieces only about a young woman coming of age.
obviously like your web site but you need to test the spelling on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling issues and I find it very troublesome to tell the truth however I will definitely come back again.
Is Ha the girl’s real last name?
“Oh look, Adam Driver from Girls. Will give this a shot.”

Trailer by itself isn’t selling it to me despite the fact Gerwig is charming. I’ll have to rely on word of mouth here and elsewhere….
I run hot and cold on Noah Baumbach (I pretty much wanted to murder things after Margot at her Wedding and Greenberg, but really liked The Squid and the Whale and Kicking & Screaming) while not really thinking much of Greta Gerwig until Damsels in Distress. Oh look, Adam Driver from Girls. Will give this a shot.
I saw Frances Ha at Telluride and it was pleasant enough, but more than a little draggy. I guess I didn’t get what were so excited about.
In my most anticipated list of 2013… Frances Ha is on #4. Really looking forward to it, love the trailer.
I saw FRANCES HA at the NYFF and it was easily my favorite thing I caught during my week there. Beautifully photographed, and each frame has Great Gerwig in it, which is about as wonderful as you can get (when she’s got the right material, that is!) It’s really been a long timie since we’ve seen a movie like this, too–a film about a woman trying to achieve on her own, without a man in the mix. This aspect of it was really refreshing. I’d say this is certain to get award recognition later this year–maybe Gerwig will be a double nominee, for Actress and Original Screenplay. She’ll certainly be in the running for one or the other!
Hey sasha I have a different question? Why no love for dead man down? I think it will be the sleeper hit of the year just saw an early screening last night wow it was awesome Colin Farrell, noomi ropace,Terrence Howard are awesome. I think it will get will get Oscar consideration for best picture, best actress (noomi ropace), best supporting actor (Terrence Howard) what do you think?
