    gorgeous Tilda!

  2. love her – love that picture. I actually watched Michael Clayton yesterday on the On demand channel. God, what a great film and great supporting performance!

She is so incredible, one of the few actors working today who’s movies I will see regardless simply because she is in them. Having said that though, I have somehow yet to see We Need to Talk About Kevin, I read the book before the movie came out and couldn’t bring myself to sit through all that horror again!

  4. Bryce Forestieri

One of the two or three best actresses of her generation. <3 Top 10 Tilda Swinton.

The only Tilda film that is terrible: THE MAN FROM LONDON

Cannot wait for Bong Joon-ho's SNOWPIERCER, Jim Jarmusch's ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE, Terry Gilliam's THE ZERO THEOREAM, and Wes Anderson's THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL…Goddamn, girl is on a roll!

There aren’t many actors whose every performance is worth watching and who seem to keep their won beat when not in front of the camera. She’s great.

  6. I thought she was one of my favorite actresses working in cinema until I saw her and heard her at Telluride last year. After the Q&A, I know longer thought that. I knew it.

  7. I just picked up a copy of a Tilda movie i had never heard of – ‘Stephanie Daley’ – a 2006 flick.
She is always watchable and has made some fascinating choices.

  8. Along with Cate Blanchet, one of the best actresses working today.

I always felt she should have been Oscar nominated for her performance in “I Am Love” – a really beautiful performance.

I also thought she gave another stellar supporting performance in the Coens’ “Burn After Reading”.

Although I haven’t seen this movie, apparently it is a little known gem of a relatively unknown film that is talked about on this site periodically. The film dealt with alcoholism – “Julia”. I would really love to see that movie sometime.

I, too, am also looking forwad to “The Grand Budapest Hotel”. Check out that cast on IMBD! If realized, it should be a terrific film!

Off subject – but I just saw Oz The Great and Powerful last weekend. TOTALLY underwhelmed. What a piece of shit movie. It contains Disneyland’s newest “OZ, the River Raft” ride.

  9. I have to mention ‘Orlando’ – the first movie I saw Tilda in – what a revelation she was and is. I think it was her film debut (someone will disabuse me of that, if not so). Sally Potter’s film was such a visual feast and the emphatic step forward of one of the most compelling film actresses of the past 3 decades.

  10. She should be the owner of the Academy Award Meryl Street took home last year. Absolutely amazing actress.

  11. I think she’s my favorite one. Tllda’s one of a kind

  12. agree with you completely

Both Blanchett and Swinton have been making incredible choices for more than a decade now, and have been working with both conventionally and non-conventionally important directors.

Both have the androgynously angelic feel about them, which always forces me to give them extra points.

and yes, I too had the “WTF” reaction while watching OZ

  13. For me as well. Orlando was the first movie I saw her in, back in 1993.
