    What a coup if it could win the Palme! And how sweet for Steven Soderbergh – both his first and last films winning that award.

    Watched the film last night when it premiered on HBO. While I agree that the acting was terrific and Douglas certainly would be considered for an Oscar nomination if this were a regular studio release. For the most part, the film itself was a bore. Of course that might be colored by the fact that I thought Liberace was a bore when he was alive and behind the scenes soap opera script didn’t change that opinion.
