Showgirls, you better watch out. There’s a new camp queen in town and she’s taking no prisoners *rawwwwwr*
Rachel McAdams and Sharon Stone should play mother and daughter in a movie
YES to this please
the buzz is not great but the two girls look fantastic!
I sort of just stare open-mouthed at this trailer. Then I pop Love Crime into my DVD player…
I hope this movie will do justice to the wonderful Rachel McAdams at least to an extent as far as mainstream flicks may go.
A De Palma fan since 1987 — reading: not really a fan — I found his camera angles usually quite conventional though occasionally monotonous. Sometimes, blatantly abrupt, sweeping from one spot in the left to right out of the blue, for instance, in the beginning of Snake Eye’s ACT I the boxing match (ringside scenes).

I think we can take Paddy’s remark to heart and seek out the original Crime d’Amour by Alain Corneau for comparison. Anyone pressed for time can maybe skip the comparison altogether and just enjoy the version with Ludivine Sagnier and Kristen Scott Thomas on its own?
Just checked out the recommended version (teaser) on the internet. Looks really promising … and French : ) Which is good for me.
Thanks, Ryan.
I saw Passion at TIFF last year – 7.5/10. Entertaining but left me feeling like something was missing. My review is at the link.
Now if only there is a male version of Passion starring Cavill and Fassbender.

Noomi replace with anyone else please.
Pop-kitsch-over-the-top-extravaganza-ludicriously-tasty-kinky-vulgar-deluxe-post-modern-remake. Count me in to worshipped, to applaud. It’s Demented, it’s De Palma.
It might be enthralling in Love Crime, but it sure as shit ain’t in Passion.
I LUV almost everything Brian DePalma does…I’m in.
